Base Layer Kids Athletic Breathable Thermals — Long Sleeve
Product description
This thermal base layer set for children combines warmth and mobility for cold-weather sports and outdoor play. The fleece-lined long-sleeve top and compression leggings offer insulation and sweat management, making them suitable for football, hockey and layered winter use.
Key Points
The set uses a brushed fleece lining that helps trap heat while remaining soft against the skin. Breathable mesh panels under both armpits increase airflow and wick moisture away from the body, so kids stay drier during high-intensity activity. There are reflective strips on the top and leggings to improve visibility in low light, useful for early evening training or dusk games. 😊
Compression fit supports muscle groups and can reduce muscle vibration during movement, which may help with comfort during prolonged play. Flatlock seams minimise chafing and the wide elastic waistband holds the leggings in place without digging, allowing freedom of movement thanks to the fabric’s four-way stretch. Note that the compression fit is firm by design and may feel snug for some children, according to the manufacturer.

Usage Recommendations
Layer the top under a mid-layer or outer jacket for skiing and cold-weather training. The leggings can be worn beneath shorts for football or as standalone thermal trousers on chillier days. For hockey sessions that involve high exertion, the moisture-wicking properties and mesh ventilation will help manage sweat during repeated sprints. 🏒⚽
Consider washing on a gentle cycle and avoiding high heat drying to preserve the elasticity and reflective prints. For sizing, choose according to the child’s usual measurements; the compression style means you may prefer sizing up if a looser fit is desired. Also keep in mind that reflective strips increase visibility but do not replace dedicated lighting in very dark conditions.
