Asmodee Dobble Animals card game 15 min
Product description
Dobble Animals is a quick card game of observation and speed that keeps young children engaged while developing concentration and reflexes. The compact pack and short rounds make it practical for family trips, playdates or a quick living room challenge. In the first round players try to spot the single matching image between two cards, and each round emphasises fast thinking rather than complex rules.
Key features
The rules are simple and clear, so children aged 4 and up can join in quickly. Games last about 15 minutes so sessions stay lively and avoid fatigue. The images vary in size and position, which adds a visual challenge and keeps repeat plays fresh. According to the product listing the set supports 2 to 8 players making it flexible for pairs or small groups. Note that the component set is primarily cards so it relies on durable handling more than extra pieces, and you may want to store the deck in a small box to protect the cards.

Practical tips
It helps to play on a flat surface with good lighting so subtle size differences on the icons are easier to spot. If younger children struggle, slow the pace and offer encouragement rather than counting mistakes. It’s a good way to train quick visual recognition and turn-taking in short sessions. It suits families who prefer low-prep games and those looking for something portable to carry in a bag.
Care & maintenance
Keep cards away from food and damp to preserve the artwork and edges. A small tuck box or plastic sleeve will extend the set’s life, especially with frequent use by younger players. Occasional reshuffling keeps play varied and prevents predictable patterns.
