## Description

This hinged knee support brace offers reinforced stabilization for active use and recovery, combining adjustable compression with an open patella design to reduce pressure on the kneecap during exercise and manual work. It is suited to runners, weightlifters and anyone needing lateral support while keeping mobility.

## Key Points

The brace features removable, double-sided steel plate hinges that are 2 mm thicker than previous versions, delivering firmer lateral and medial support for the knee joint. A built-in silicone patella pad gives full coverage of the kneecap, helping to distribute pressure more evenly during high-impact activity. The open patella and breathable mesh fabric include ventilation holes to help wick sweat and reduce overheating during prolonged wear. Four adjustable Velcro straps and dual parallel compression straps allow a customised fit, which can accommodate larger thighs or reduced muscle tone in older users. Consider that, according to the manufacturer, the stabilisers are designed to balance support with a natural range of motion.

## Technical Specifications

- **Name: AOOWU Hinged Knee Support Brace**
- Material: breathable mesh fabric with silicone patella pad.
- Hinge type: removable double-sided steel plate, 2 mm thicker.
- Straps: 4 adjustable Velcro straps with dual parallel compression straps.
- Fit: open patella, universal left or right wear.

## Usage Recommendations

Use the brace during sports such as running, football, basketball, hiking and weightlifting to reduce lateral movement of the knee while retaining flexion. For rehabilitation after minor sprains or when performing repetitive tasks that stress the joint, fasten the Velcro straps to a comfortable compression level and adjust the side stabilisers as needed. If heavy swelling, severe instability or persistent pain is present, consult a health professional before relying on the brace for support.

## Advantages

The combination of thicker hinged stabilisers and a silicone patella pad offers a balance of protection and comfort, allowing controlled movement while reducing pressure hotspots. Breathable fabric and sweat-wicking vents make all-day wear more comfortable, and the wrap design means the same unit can be used on either knee. Notable limitations include potential discomfort if fastened excessively tight and the fact that removable hinges require care during washing.
