## Description

## What it is
The Antank B5 is a 10000mAh magnetic power bank designed with mobile gaming in mind. It attaches securely to the Nintendo Switch 2 via a detachable magnetic clip, enabling hands‑free play while delivering up to 30W PD fast charging. It also supports magnetic charging for select iPhone models, giving you a compact, two‑in‑one solution for charging both your console and phone on the go. On paper, this unit promises extended playtime without the bulk of a traditional charging brick and with the convenience of magnetic attachment.

## How it works
Built from two 5000mAh cells in series, the B5 provides around 38.7Wh of energy. The design aims to balance portability with performance: a slim aluminium alloy shell helps with heat dissipation, while built‑in safety chips guard against overheating, overcharging and short circuits. Magnetic clips come in two versions—one for Switch 2 and one for Switch/Switch OLED—plus support for 15W magnetic wireless charging on iPhone 12–17. The charge is delivered through USB‑C connections, and the pack ships with two cables for flexibility: a short right‑angle USB‑C and a longer 3.2ft option.

## What stands out
On the positive side, the B5 provides a notable amount of capacity in a compact form, coupled with genuine fast charging for the Nintendo Switch 2. The magnetic hold is a practical touch for casual gaming sessions away from outlets, and the inclusion of two magnetic clips means you can keep both your Switch and iPhone topped up without juggling multiple chargers. The 24‑month warranty and round‑the‑clock support add reassurance for regular travellers and gamers who rely on portable power.

## Limitations and caveats
It’s not compatible with Switch Lite, so if your setup includes that model you’ll need an alternative solution. Capacity is described as 10000mAh and energy as 38.7Wh, in practice, the usable runtime will depend on the device and usage, and as with any power bank, real‑world results can vary. The dual‑cable configuration is handy, but if you primarily need a larger battery bank, you might find the 10000mAh capacity limiting over longer sessions away from mains.

## Who it’s for
This product is well suited to Switch 2 owners who want a compact, attachable charging solution for travel, commuter use, or long gaming sessions. If you value the convenience of magnet attachment and the ability to charge a phone at the same time, it offers a practical way to keep both devices ready without carrying several chargers.

## Who it isn’t for
If you require a charger that supports a wider range of devices beyond Switch 2, or if you want a higher capacity bank for multi‑day trips, this model might feel limiting. Those who prioritise broad device compatibility over compactness may prefer a larger power bank. If you rely on a Switch Lite, this isn’t the right option either.

## When it makes sense to buy
Consider this if you travel frequently with a Switch 2 and sometimes need a quick top‑up for your iPhone on the same trip. The combination of 30W PD and magnetic compatibility reduces the clutter of extra cables and grips nicely for on‑the‑move gaming.

## What to check before buying
Make sure you actually use a Switch 2 or Switch/Switch OLED in your setup. Verify that the magnetic clips fit your preferred placement and, if you rely on iPhone charging, ensure your model supports magnetic charging at up to 15W. Check your carrying needs: will 0.47 lbs of weight and compact dimensions fit your travel habits?

## Practical use case
Imagine boarding a train with a Switch 2 in handheld mode. The B5 clips onto the console, providing a secure hold while you head into a gaming session. When your iPhone needs a boost, the same magnetic system snaps into place, letting you keep both devices charged without swapping cables mid‑play. It’s not perfect for everyone, but for short to mid‑length journeys it can streamline your charging routine.

## What you’ll notice in use
In everyday use, you’ll likely appreciate the slim profile and the two magnetic clips that offer flexible attachment options. Heat management is aided by the aluminium body, but during intense gaming sessions you should still keep the unit out of direct heat and avoid blocking vents. The built‑in safety features should give some peace of mind, though the usual cautions about fast charging apply—avoid leaving the bank under heavy loads for extended periods.

## The decision you’re looking for
Is it worth it? If you prioritise portability, the magnetic pairing with Switch 2, and the convenience of charging a phone simultaneously, the Antank B5 makes sense as a travel companion for casual gaming and daily commuting. It isn’t the best option if you want a heavier duty battery for long gaming marathons or a broader device compatibility range.
