Amazon Basics Waterproof Outdoor TV Cover for 28–32 inch Flat-Screen TVs (72.6 x 12.7 x 47.8 cm) – Black
Product description
What it is
A practical outdoor storage solution designed to protect a 28–32 inch flat-screen TV from the elements. Made from durable polyester with a waterproof PVC coating, it aims to extend the life of outdoor TVs when not in use.
What it fits
The cover is sized to fit most 28–32-inch flat-screen TVs and measures 72.6 x 12.7 x 47.8 cm (L x W x H). If you’re choosing a cover for a TV intended for outdoor use or sheltered spaces, this size range covers common mid-sized screens.
Practical design features
The soft inner fabric helps prevent abrasion to the screen surface when placing the TV inside or removing it from the cover. There is a built-in covered pocket (28 x 11.7 cm) to store the remote control, which adds a small convenience for keeping essentials together and protected.
What stands out in use
On the page, the waterproof PVC coating and polyester construction are the key practical points. If your outdoor space experiences rain or splashes, this cover offers a straightforward shield against moisture. It’s not a rigid enclosure, so it relies on a snug fit and a proper seal around the TV area.
Limitations and considerations
This is a protective cover rather than a powerfully insulated case. It won’t add significant impact protection in the event of drops or heavy impacts, and it’s not described as weatherproof to extreme conditions. If your outdoor environment involves very harsh weather or prolonged exposure, you may want to assess additional protective measures or a more robust enclosure.
Who it suits
It suits households looking for a simple, low-cost way to keep an outdoor TV dry when not in use and to organise the remote in one place. It’s a sensible option if your TV falls within the 28–32 inch range and you want a straightforward storage solution rather than a heavy-duty outdoor cabinet.
Who might want to think twice
If you need heavy-duty protection, frequent heavy rain, or rough outdoor climates, a more rugged enclosure may be required. Also, if your TV is closer to the limits of the stated size range, double-check the fit to avoid a tight or loose cover.
Before you buy
- Confirm the TV measurements align with the cover’s interior dimensions and allow a snug fit.
- Check that your outdoor area is compatible with polyester/PVC protection and that you’re comfortable with a soft interior.
- Consider whether you want extra protection for prolonged outdoor use or for transporting the TV between spaces.
A practical difference to other approaches
Compared with leaving a TV exposed, this cover offers a simple, affordable layer of moisture resistance and a handy internal pocket. If you prioritise a balance between simplicity, value and protection for casual outdoor use, this can be a sensible choice.
Should you buy it?
Should you buy it? It makes sense if you need a lightweight, easy-to-store cover for a 28–32 inch TV and you want a built-in place for the remote. It may not be the best option if you require heavy-duty protection or use in extreme outdoor conditions.
