## Description

## Key features

This blue silicone blanking cap is a high temperature round sealing plug designed to block off hoses or openings with a 30mm internal diameter. It combines a gloss finish with a two‑layer VMQ silicone construction that handles a wide temperature range, making it useful for workshop or light industrial tasks where a reliable temporary seal is required. The plug is simple to fit and removes the need for specialist tools, so it works well for quick maintenance or testing jobs.

## Technical details

- Name: 30mm (1 3/16") Blue Silicone Blanking Cap
- Size: Internal Diameter 30mm, Outside Diameter 37mm, Wall Thickness 3.5mm
- Material: VMQ Silicone Rubber inner layer, VMQ Silicone Rubber outer layer
- Temperature: Rated -60°C to +180°C
- Compliance: Conforms to SAEJ20

## Usage tips

Fit is straightforward, press the plug into the hose or bore until the gloss finish sits flush and the wall compresses to form a seal. It installs quickly and can be reused, though you should inspect the surface for cuts or deformation before repeated use. If you plan extended exposure to aggressive chemicals, bear in mind that silicone resists many substances but may not suit every solvent.
