Vileda Steam Plus Pro XXL Sensitive Replacement Covers, 40 cm, Pack of 2

For steaming a large sealed floor, the Vileda Steam Plus Pro XXL Sensitive replacement covers offer a 40 cm-wide cleaning surface and a heat-resistant layer designed to reduce heat transfer. The pack contains two covers, giving you a spare while the other is being washed.

They are intended for use with the lowest steam setting on the Steam Plus Pro and are machine washable up to 60°C. The manufacturer recommends testing an inconspicuous area first and using the steam cleaner and covers only on sealed floors.

Who it’s for

These covers are aimed at owners of a compatible Vileda steam mop who want a wider replacement pad for larger floor areas. The 40 cm width is the practical distinction: it is geared towards covering more floor in each pass than a narrower cover, which may suit a spacious kitchen or hallway where repeated passes take time.

The sensitive-floor design may also appeal if you want a pad intended for delicate surfaces. Its special layer is designed to reduce heat transfer, but the guidance still calls for the lowest steam level and an inconspicuous-area test before cleaning the wider floor. It makes sense if your floors are sealed and you have the recommended Steam Plus Pro XXL mop.

Why it makes sense

A two-cover pack is useful for rotation: one can be in use while the other is being cleaned. The covers can be machine washed up to 60°C, then air-dried or tumble-dried, so they are reusable rather than single-use. That makes the set more relevant to regular steam-mop cleaning than a disposable-pad approach.

The heat-resistant layer is the feature that separates this version from a basic replacement cover. It is intended to reduce the heat reaching sensitive flooring, not to remove the need for care. Keep to the lowest steam setting and the sealed-floor guidance, the product information does not recommend it for unsealed surfaces.

Key points

The covers are listed for Vileda Steam Plus Pro XXL, with Steam Plus XXL also appearing in the compatibility information. For best performance, the manufacturer recommends the Steam Plus Pro XXL, so check which mop you have before choosing this refill. That is more useful than relying on the XXL label alone, as the exact mop model matters.

In everyday use, the 40 cm cover is suited to larger areas, while the washable, reusable format supports ongoing cleaning. If your floors are particularly sensitive, start in a discreet spot and follow the lowest-steam instruction. The product is a replacement cover, not a steam mop, so it only makes sense if you already have a compatible machine.

Should you buy it?

Choose this two-pack if you own the recommended Steam Plus Pro XXL, clean sealed floors and want a wider sensitive-floor cover that can be washed and reused. The heat-resistant layer and 40 cm width give it a clear purpose beyond simply replacing a worn pad. Better avoided if your flooring is not sealed, or if you do not have a compatible Vileda mop, the stated guidance does not support using it on those floors or as a standalone cleaning product.
