## Description

## Where it shines

The 20 plastic support rods give stacked cakes a structure between their tiers, helping each layer sit securely as you build. Use the set for celebration cakes made at home, from birthday and party cakes to wedding and christening cakes. It also suits bakers who want a dedicated support system for tiered designs rather than relying on the cake layers alone.

The rods can be inserted into a cake and cut to the length needed for the build. In practice, this lets you adapt the supports to the height of each tier: prepare the rods, place them within the cake, then stack the next layer. The set includes three cake boards in different diameters, so you can choose a board to suit the tier you are assembling.

## Highlights

Made from food-grade polypropylene, the rods are designed for use in cake construction and can be washed and reused. Their hollow design makes them easy to insert, while their 23cm length gives you room to trim them to size before use. This is useful when the tiers in one cake have different heights or when you are planning more than one stacked cake.

The set comes with 20 support rods and three cake boards, with board diameters of 9cm, 12cm and 16cm. The white finish keeps the supports visually unobtrusive in a cake build. Rather than treating each tier as a separate decoration, you can use the rods and boards together to create a more organised, layered construction. The supports are also suitable for building cupcakes, pizzas and other party bakes into a stacked presentation.

## Maintenance

After use, wash the rods and boards with water and detergent, then dry them before storing for another bake. The reusable design makes the set handy for home bakers who make tiered cakes for different occasions. Cut the rods to the required length before inserting them, and arrange them within the cake layers as you build each tier.

## When it makes sense

It’s a good fit if you regularly make stacked cakes and want boards and internal supports together in one set. The three board diameters give you options for arranging tiers, while the 20 rods can be trimmed to suit the construction. For a one-off, single-layer cake, a support set may not be needed, for a celebration cake with multiple levels, it offers a practical way to organise the build and support the tiers.

Choose this set for home baking, birthdays, weddings, christenings or party cakes where a layered finish is part of the plan. Its reusable polypropylene rods, three boards and adjustable lengths make it a useful set of cake-building components for preparing tiered designs.
