VASAGLE LCT222B56 Oval Coffee Table with Fabric Storage Basket

If you need a living-room table that also gives everyday items a place to go, the VASAGLE LCT222B56 combines an oval tabletop with a fabric storage basket. Its ink black and slate grey finish gives it a modern look. The table measures 55D x 100W x 45.7H centimetres. The tabletop has a stated maximum static load capacity of 40 kg.

Who it’s for

This table is aimed at households that want a central surface for books, drinks or other living-room essentials, along with somewhere to gather items such as blankets, pillows and reading material. The basket makes that combination more useful than a basic coffee table with only an open surface, particularly when you want loose belongings together rather than spread around the room.

It could suit a living room where a full cabinet would take up too much space, but where a bare table would not provide enough everyday storage. The oval shape and metal frame also give it a different look from a conventional rectangular table. Worth considering if you value a usable surface and a basket in one piece of furniture. Better avoided if you need a tabletop rated to carry more than 40 kg: that is the stated maximum static load, so it is worth treating as a practical boundary rather than a suggestion to use the table as a seat.

Pros

The main advantage is the pairing of the table and basket: books, cushions or a throw can be kept close at hand without needing a separate storage unit. The basket is made from double-layer polyester fabric, while the tabletop is engineered wood and the frame is steel. That gives you a mix of materials rather than an all-wood design, which may appeal if you want a more contemporary metal-frame style.

At 100 cm wide, the surface offers room for everyday use, while the basket measures 49 x 94 x 15 cm. The supplied instructions and accessory pack are intended to support assembly, and the product description characterises the structure as simple to put together. A practical scenario would be keeping a blanket and a few books in the basket, with a drink or reading material on the tabletop. The basket is a straightforward alternative to a coffee table with built-in drawers, choose drawers instead if you specifically want separate compartments or a more enclosed storage design.

Key features

The VASAGLE LCT222B56 is an oval coffee table in ink black and slate grey. Its overall dimensions are 55D x 100W x 45.7H centimetres, and it weighs 9.3 kg. The top is made from engineered wood, with a steel frame. The included fabric basket is polyester and measures 49 x 94 x 15 cm. Maximum static load capacity for the tabletop is 40 kg.

There is no need to buy a separate basket to use the storage feature, though its fabric format is different from fixed drawers or shelves.

Final verdict

The LCT222B56 makes most sense when you want an oval coffee table that does more than provide a surface, and a fabric basket suits the way you organise everyday items. Its useful distinction is the included storage, rather than a claim to offer extensive built-in compartments. The stated 40 kg static limit gives a clear guide for the tabletop, so consider whether that capacity fits your intended use before choosing it. If you mainly need a simple place to set things down, a basic table may be enough, if you want a table and a handy spot for soft furnishings or books, this model brings both together.
