VASAGLE LCT205B22 Lift-Top Coffee Table, 3 Open Compartments, Charcoal Grey
Product description
Some living rooms need a simple surface, others benefit from storage and a worktop that comes closer to the sofa. The VASAGLE LCT205B22 combines a lift-up top with open and concealed compartments. Would that flexibility be useful in your room? Its charcoal-grey top and black steel frame give it an industrial look, with the X-shaped bars adding a distinctive detail.

The changing top height is central to how this table is meant to be used: lift the surface and pull it towards the sofa for a more convenient position. The product description also specifies metal hinges and a reinforced crossbar to support the moving top. Underneath, the three open compartments keep items such as books, board games and craft materials accessible, while the hidden compartment provides a place to put away things you would rather keep out of sight.
Who it’s for
It suits you if you want one living-room table to do more than hold drinks: the lift-up surface can provide a place to browse online, work from home, eat or do handicrafts while seated on the couch. It may also appeal if you prefer everyday items within reach but want some belongings tucked away. Compared with a basic coffee table with a fixed top and no stated storage, this design offers more ways to use the surface and organise the space around it. That added function is most relevant if you expect to use the compartments and lift mechanism regularly.
The combination of an anthracite-grey engineered-wood top and black steel frame is intended to bring an industrial note to a living room. The rectangular shape and stated 60 x 100 cm footprint are useful reference points when considering where it might sit, the listed height range is 48–62 cm. The available details do not give the dimensions of the individual compartments, so they are best thought of as general storage for items like books or board games rather than a guaranteed fit for a particular object.
How to use it
Raise the top and draw it closer when you need a more accessible surface from the sofa, then lower it again when you are finished. Keep frequently used items in the open compartments and use the concealed space for belongings you want out of view. Numbered parts and clear instructions are supplied to help with assembly. For routine cleaning, the stated care method is to wipe with a damp cloth, the tabletop veneer is described as water-resistant, rather than as a surface that needs no care.
Practical questions
Can the tabletop be brought closer to the sofa? Yes. The top lifts and pulls towards you, with working, browsing, meals and handicrafts listed as possible uses.
What can go in the storage spaces? The open compartments are suggested for books, board games and craft materials. The space beneath the top is intended for items you want to keep hidden.
How should the table be cleaned? Wipe it with a damp cloth, following the stated care instructions.
Final verdict
The LCT205B22 makes most sense when a coffee table needs to serve as both storage and a nearer surface for sofa-based activities. Its lift-up top, three open compartments and concealed compartment give it a more functional role than a fixed-top table, while the grey-and-black finish and X-shaped bars make the frame part of the room’s look. If those practical features match how you use your living room, they are the main reasons to choose it, if you only need a surface for occasional use, the extra storage and moving top may matter less.
