Valeton Rushead Max RH-100 Guitar Micro Amplifier with Amp Models and Effects
Product description
For guitarists who need a compact way to shape their sound, the Valeton Rushead Max RH-100 combines amp models with onboard effects in a very small unit.
Its aux input lets you play along with an audio player, while the built-in USB charger and stated battery life of up to five hours support use away from a fixed power source. Would a range of sounds and effects in one portable unit suit your practice setup?
The key appeal is flexibility without the footprint of a conventional combo amp. The details provided do not specify an output connection, so check that the available connections suit the way you plan to play.

The AMP module offers clean, saturated and distorted amplifier models based on well-known amplifiers. A switchable MOD module provides chorus, tremolo and flanger, while the switchable AMBIENT module adds reverb and delay. Five buttons are specified for tone control. These options make the RH-100 more than a basic miniature amp: it combines several sound-shaping choices in one compact format, without requiring separate effects units for the listed effects.
Getting the most from it
Use the aux input to play audio from a player alongside your guitar. That gives the unit a practical role in a personal practice setup, particularly when you want to work on a part while listening to a track. The amp models and effects also let you adjust the sound for different playing styles without changing to another listed device.
The built-in USB charger and battery operation are useful when you want to set up somewhere without relying on a nearby mains supply. The stated runtime is up to five hours, rather than an unlimited playing time, so that figure is worth bearing in mind for longer sessions. The product details do not explain the output options or provide further connection information, those details matter if you have a particular setup in mind.
Included in the pack
The technical details state that one battery is required and included. A built-in USB charger is also specified, but no other included accessories are named. The product description gives the unit’s dimensions as 100 mm deep, 88.5 mm wide and 31.5 mm high, making its small size a central part of its appeal. No weight is stated consistently across the supplied details, so it is not included here.
When it makes sense
Worth considering if you want a compact guitar amplifier with selectable amp models, modulation and ambient effects, plus an aux input for playing along with audio. It offers a different approach from choosing a larger combo amp and separate effects: the emphasis here is on keeping the listed sound options together in a small, battery-powered unit.
It might not be a great match if your plans depend on playing beyond the stated battery life or on a particular output connection, as the supplied details do not confirm those requirements. For portable practice with an audio source and a choice of built-in effects, the RH-100’s feature set is the main reason to consider it, for a setup that needs specific connections or longer use between charges, the missing detail should guide your choice.
