## Description

Made from aluminium, the UGREEN 40289 is a folding stand for laptops and tablets. Its five height settings let you raise your screen to suit your desk setup. Scratch-resistant padding helps protect the device and keep it in place. A carry bag makes the stand easier to pack for work or travel.

## Specifications

The adjustable design gives you more choice than a fixed-height riser, while the folding format suits a desk that needs to be cleared or a stand that travels between workspaces. Raising a laptop can make the screen position more comfortable for desk work, and the open stand design allows greater ventilation around the device. Its smooth edges also make it straightforward to handle when setting up or packing away.

## Compatibility
The stand is designed for laptops and tablets measuring 8 to 17.3 inches. Supported examples include MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, along with selected Surface, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Acer laptops. It can also be used as a stand for a phone or book, making it useful beyond a single laptop setup. For a shared desk, that flexibility lets you use the same stand with different devices within the stated size range.

## Tips for day-to-day use
Place the stand on a tabletop and choose one of its five height positions to suit your working arrangement. The padded contact points help protect the laptop’s finish and provide grip as it rests on the stand. Keep the area around the laptop open so air can circulate while you work. When moving between home, the office or a meeting, fold the stand and use the carry bag for storage.

Buyers often praise the stand’s light weight, portability and sturdy feel, and appreciate having a pouch for carrying it. Feedback on stability is mixed, so position your device carefully on the stand and use it on a level surface. This is a useful consideration for any elevated laptop setup, particularly when typing directly on the laptop.

## Final verdict
The UGREEN 40289 suits people who want an adjustable laptop riser that can also be folded away and carried. Its five height settings help adapt a desk setup, while the aluminium construction, protective padding and carry bag support everyday use at home, in the office or while travelling. Choose it over a fixed stand when adjustability and portability matter as much as having a raised screen.
