## Description

## Pros

The TONOR D5 is a wired dynamic microphone with a focused pickup pattern designed to capture vocals while helping reduce background noise and feedback. That makes it a practical choice for karaoke, speech and vocal recording, where clear pickup can help keep attention on the person speaking or singing.

A built-in windscreen helps reduce breath sounds and popping, while the reinforced 4.5m cable gives you room to move during a performance or set up the microphone away from connected audio equipment. Buyers often praise its clear, crisp sound. Feedback on durability is mixed, so the metal-bodied design is best viewed as a practical feature rather than a guarantee of lifespan.

## The essentials

This handheld microphone connects through an XLR-to-6.35mm cable and is intended for devices with a compatible 6.35mm microphone input, including speakers, amplifiers, mixers and karaoke machines. The cable is supplied, so the basic connection is ready to set up with suitable equipment. Its standard-sized body also fits a standard microphone stand, which can be useful when you want to keep your hands free for a presentation or performance.

For the clearest pickup, speak or sing towards the top of the microphone from a distance of around 3–5cm. The reinforced switch is designed for smooth operation, while the built-in windscreen helps soften breath noise and plosive sounds. What does that mean in practice? You can use the same straightforward handheld setup for a karaoke session, a spoken announcement or vocal recording, then connect it to compatible audio equipment using the included cable.

## Who it’s for

The D5 suits home karaoke and speech setups, as well as vocal recording where a direct, wired connection is preferred. Its handheld form is easy to move between users, and the cable length gives some flexibility when positioning yourself in relation to a speaker, mixer or amplifier. If you are choosing between a handheld microphone and a fixed installation, this format makes more sense when you want to hold the mic or place it on a standard stand and use it across different occasions.

## Should you buy it?

Choose the TONOR D5 if you want a straightforward wired microphone for vocals, karaoke or speech, with a supplied 4.5m cable and a built-in windscreen. Its handheld design, stand compatibility and connection to suitable audio equipment make it a useful fit for home performances and everyday speaking setups.
