## Description

## Best use cases

Some playsets are chosen for role-play, while others give children materials to make and customise. The L.O.L. Surprise! Hair Beads Salon brings both together: a Tot doll, a salon playset and colourful beads for creating hair looks. It suits indoor play where styling, arranging accessories and making up salon stories can all be part of the fun.

The set also gives children space to organise their creations, with storage drawers in the salon and a case that can be used for play and storage. What might a salon visit look like when children can invent the styles themselves? The beads and hair extensions make that imaginative play hands-on.

## Why it’s worth it

The appeal is in having the styling pieces and the salon setting in one set. Children can add colourful beads to the hair extensions, try different combinations and use the mirrors as they play. Hair ties and fashion accessories add more ways to personalise the doll, while the spray bottle and salon details help bring pretend hairdressing into the game.

There is also a useful balance between creative play and tidying away. Beads can be kept in the salon’s drawers, and the case can serve as a playset as well as storage for dolls and accessories. That makes it suited to a play session that moves from setting up the salon to styling, role-play and putting the pieces away afterwards. Unlike a set focused only on doll accessories, this one centres the activity on making and displaying hair designs.

A solid pick if you’re looking for a doll-based activity that encourages children to make their own styling choices and build salon stories around them. The included doll gives the play a character, while the bead extensions provide a clear creative focus.

## Practical questions

What comes in the playset? It includes one Tot doll, 100 hair beads, hair ties, two vanity mirrors, three sets of hair bead extensions, a spray bottle and the salon playset, along with additional surprises.

How are the beads used? Children can use the colourful beads with the hair extensions to create their own patterns and styles, then use the mirrors as part of their salon role-play.

Does it need batteries? No. The playset is operated manually and requires no batteries, so children can get straight into pretend salon play.

## Buying verdict

For children who enjoy dolls, dressing up and hands-on creative activities, the Hair Beads Salon combines a Tot doll with styling pieces and a salon that doubles as storage. Its bead extensions encourage personal designs, and the mirrors and salon accessories help turn those creations into an imaginative indoor play session.
