## Description

Set up a laptop workstation at a desk with the SOUNDANCE LS1, which raises the screen by 6 inches to bring it closer to eye level. Its open, two-arm design leaves room beneath the laptop for a keyboard or mouse, helping make better use of desk space while keeping the screen elevated.

Made from aluminium, the stand is lightweight and detachable, so it can be moved or packed away between work areas.

## Strengths
The LS1 is designed for laptops from 10 to 15.6 inches, including MacBook models and notebooks from brands such as Lenovo, Dell, HP and ASUS. Its black aluminium frame has a polished finish, while rubber on the laptop supports and feet helps keep the computer in place and the stand steady on the desk.

The raised, ventilated layout supports airflow around the laptop, with two arms rather than a solid platform beneath it. That leaves useful space for a keyboard and mouse when you want to work with the laptop screen as your main display. The stand weighs 200 grams and can be detached for transport, installation does not require tools.

Buyers often praise its stable feel, appearance and ability to hold a laptop securely. Feedback on the height is mixed: some find the set position suits their desk, while others would prefer height adjustment. The LS1 provides a 6-inch lift, making it a straightforward choice if a fixed raised position suits your setup.

## What matters most
The main benefit is a more organised desk arrangement without replacing your laptop or changing how you work. Place the notebook on the two padded supports, then use the open area underneath for a separate keyboard and mouse. This can be useful during a full day of desk work, when keeping the laptop screen raised and the typing area clear makes a more practical workstation.

Compared with using a laptop flat on the desk, the LS1 lifts the screen and creates room below it. Compared with a larger desktop riser, its detachable, lightweight form is easier to move between desks or put away when the space is needed for another task. The 6-inch elevation is fixed, so the key choice is whether that raised position fits the way you plan to use your laptop.

## Usage tips
Place the stand on a stable desk and centre the laptop on its supports. For a separate keyboard and mouse, arrange them in the open space beneath the raised computer. When installing or detaching the arms, keep them at matching angles and take care around your fingers. The detachable design makes the stand practical for changing work locations as well as a regular desk setup.

## When it makes sense
It makes sense if you want to raise a 10–15.6-inch laptop, keep the desktop clearer and have a lightweight stand that can be taken apart when needed. The aluminium construction, padded contact points and open space beneath the laptop suit a tidy home or office workstation, particularly when you plan to type on a separate keyboard. For a desk-based setup that benefits from an elevated screen without a bulky riser, the SOUNDANCE LS1 offers a simple, portable way to arrange your laptop and accessories.
