SONGMICS LTB214GZ01 4 Litre Kitchen Compost Bin, Dark Grey with Strainer
Product description
How to use it
Some kitchens need a food-waste caddy that stays within reach during meal preparation, others need to make the most of a compact worktop. The SONGMICS LTB214GZ01 brings a 4-litre capacity, a sealing lid and a removable strainer basket together in a dark grey PP plastic bin for everyday food scraps.
Place it on the worktop while chopping and add vegetable peelings or coffee grounds as you go. The lid’s top handle makes opening straightforward during food preparation, while the textured main handle helps you carry the lightweight bin when it is time to empty it.
Benefits
The tight-sealing lid is designed to help contain unpleasant food-waste smells and keep insects away, making this a practical place to collect scraps indoors between trips to the outside bin or composting area. Its compact footprint keeps daily waste close to where you prepare food, rather than requiring you to carry peelings across the kitchen as you work.
A removable strainer basket supports separation of wet and dry food waste, which can make emptying more organised. The PP plastic surface is easy to wipe clean after use. For routine cleaning, wash with mild soap and water after emptying, and keep the bin away from direct heat sources.

How should I clean the compost bin? Wash it with mild soap and water after emptying. Keep it away from direct heat sources to help prevent deformation.
When it makes sense
This caddy suits kitchens where scraps are collected as meals are prepared and a dedicated countertop container is more convenient than setting waste aside elsewhere. Its 4-litre capacity, removable strainer basket and easy-clean PP surface support a simple daily routine, while the sealing lid helps keep food waste contained indoors. Choose it for accessible kitchen scrap collection in a compact, carryable format.
