## Description

For firewood, flooring and home maintenance, checking moisture helps you spot readings that may need attention before moving on with a job. The Proster Rechargeable Damp Meter uses a pin probe to measure moisture in materials including wood and building materials.

Four dedicated modes make it easier to select a suitable setting for the material being checked. A tri-colour bar chart gives a quick visual indication of dry, risk and wet readings, while the visual and audible alerts draw attention to excessive moisture.

## Tech summary
- Type: Rechargeable pin-probe moisture meter
- Modes: Four dedicated detection modes for different materials
- Display: Tri-colour bar chart with dry, risk and wet indications
- Functions: Data hold, visual and audible alerts, self-calibration and automatic power-off
- Charging: USB-C

The data hold function locks a reading, making it easier to refer to it while checking several areas or noting results. A reference chart on the rear provides a quick guide to readings. The meter is factory pre-calibrated and has self-test and recalibration functions, so it is ready for measurement without a separate initial calibration step.

## Everyday use
Use the probe to check firewood before burning, assess timber for a flooring project or inspect a wall where damp is a concern. Different material modes help you take readings across varied jobs, from wood and cement-based building materials to cartons. This makes the meter useful for DIY tasks as well as routine checks by people working with timber or maintaining a property.

For example, when preparing timber for flooring, take readings at relevant points and use the hold function to keep each result visible as you move around the room. The colour display helps make the reading easier to interpret at a glance, the audible alert provides another prompt when moisture is excessive. For firewood, checking moisture before use can help you make a more informed choice about which pieces to burn.

Buyers describe the meter as straightforward to use, with the buttons and scale helping to simplify checks. They also report that it works well. These comments reflect customer impressions rather than a guarantee of measurement results.

## What you get
The package includes the moisture analyser, probe, spare probe, protective cap, USB-C charging cable, storage bag and user manual. The detachable probe can be replaced separately, giving you a practical way to maintain the measuring end without replacing the whole meter. USB-C charging powers the built-in rechargeable battery, and automatic shut-off after five minutes of inactivity helps conserve power between checks.
