## Description

The 400mm Proster digital angle finder combines a folding measuring arm with a backlit LCD, giving you a clear reading as you open or close it. It measures angles from 0–225° in 0.1° increments, with a stated measuring precision of ±0.5°, for setting out cuts and checking angles in woodworking, roofing and other practical projects.

Horizontal and vertical spirit-level bubbles add a quick visual reference when positioning the tool. A lock knob helps hold the chosen angle while you mark it, and the data-hold function keeps the displayed number unchanged when needed.

## Tips for day-to-day use
Open the arm to measure an existing angle, or set the required angle on the LCD before transferring it to your workpiece. Once the arm is in position, use the mechanical lock to keep the setting steady while marking a line. This is useful when laying out angled components such as trays, sloping roofs or handrails, where carrying a measurement from the tool to the material is part of the task.

The backlight helps make the display easier to read in dim working conditions. The built-in bubbles provide a visual check of horizontal or vertical alignment, they are not digital level readings shown on the LCD. A 9V battery is supplied, and the portable bag makes it easier to store and carry the angle finder between jobs. Handle the rotating arm with even pressure, and switch off the backlight after use.

## Strengths
The key benefit is having the angle measurement and the marking tool in one device. The display gives a numerical reading as the arm moves, while the lock helps retain a setting as you transfer it to a board or other work surface. Compared with a basic angle ruler that relies on a scale, this digital format gives you a direct reading in 0.1° increments, with a stated precision of ±0.5°.

What helps when a job involves both setting an angle and positioning a line? The spirit-level bubbles provide an additional visual reference, while the backlit screen supports reading the measurement in low light. Customer feedback commonly highlights ease of use, accuracy and versatility, including DIY and landscaping applications. Views on angle stability are mixed, so the lock is a useful feature to use when holding a setting for marking.

## Is it worth it?
For woodworking and practical measuring jobs where angles need to be read and transferred, the Proster brings together a 400mm arm, digital measurement, a lock and spirit-level bubbles. Its 0–225° range covers a broad variety of layouts, from angled cuts to sloping structures, while the supplied battery and carry bag help make it ready to store and take to the work area. It makes sense if you want a single tool for measuring an angle and setting it out clearly on the material.
