## Description

The 14-inch handles use double compound hinges to maximise leverage, giving you a hand-powered way to set rivet nuts in places where access is awkward. Six metric mandrels and a selection of nuts let you work across several common sizes with one kit.

A TPU rubber-coated handle provides a non-slip grip, while the carrying case keeps the tool and its components together between jobs.

## Why it’s worth it

This kit is suited to fastening work where a threaded fixing is useful on panels or other materials. The 14-inch rivet nut gun is designed to provide extra leverage through its double compound hinges, helping you apply force by hand. Its listed applications include body panels, bicycle attachments, furniture and decorative projects, making it useful for repair and assembly tasks around the home or workshop.

The six interchangeable mandrels cover M3, M4, M5, M6, M8 and M10. With 150 rivet nuts supplied across those sizes, you can start a range of jobs without sourcing each size separately. For example, when fitting an attachment to a bicycle or securing a panel, choose a nut and mandrel that match the fastening requirement, then keep the remaining sizes organised in the case.

## What to know

The tool is hand-powered and made from high-strength alloy steel, with a TPU rubber-coated handle. The M6 mandrel is already fitted, the other mandrels are interchangeable. The included rivet nuts are divided by size: 40 M3 x 9mm, 40 M4 x 11mm, 30 M5 x 13mm, 20 M6 x 15mm, 15 M8 x 18mm and 5 M10 x 21mm. A carrying case makes the set easier to store and transport.

Buyers describe the kit as effective for their needs, with some highlighting its use on metal sheet panels. Feedback on durability is mixed: some buyers report that the tool broke during use or that threads at the end came loose. This is useful context when choosing a hand tool for repeated fastening work.

## Practical tips

Match the mandrel and rivet nut to the size required for the job, and use the case to keep the different sizes together. As the M6 mandrel comes fitted to the tool, it is ready for work with that size before changing to another of the supplied metric options. The range makes the kit a practical alternative to buying a separate setter for each nut size.

## What to clarify

**Which rivet nut sizes are included?** The set contains M3, M4, M5, M6, M8 and M10 nuts, with quantities ranging from 5 to 40 for each size.

**Which mandrels come with the tool?** Six metric mandrels are included: M3, M4, M5, M6, M8 and M10. The M6 mandrel is fitted to the tool.

**What kinds of projects is it intended for?** Listed uses include body panels, bicycle attachments, furniture and decorations, providing a range of fastening applications for the hand-operated setter.

## Final verdict

For DIY users and workshop projects that call for several metric rivet nut sizes, this Proster set brings a 14-inch hand tool, six mandrels, 150 nuts and a storage case together. Its leverage-focused design and broad size selection make it a practical kit for panel, furniture and bicycle attachment work.
