## Description

For a 12V DC device that needs a dedicated power supply, the OFFCUP unit converts AC input to a steady 12V DC output. Its 10A current rating and 120W maximum power suit a range of compatible equipment. A fan and perforated aluminium alloy casing support cooling during operation. The compact surface-mount design is intended for indoor use.

## Compatibility & requirements
Match the supply to equipment that requires 12V DC, and keep its demand within the 10A and 120W maximum ratings. The AC input supports 110V or 220V, it is factory-set to 220V, so select the appropriate setting for the available AC supply before connecting it. This straightforward check helps ensure the input and powered device suit the unit.

The supply is intended for indoor use. Its 20cm x 11cm x 5cm format and surface-mount design make it practical for a fixed installation where a separate power source is needed. Allow for the built-in fan and perforated casing when choosing where to position it, so the cooling openings are not obstructed.

## Everyday use
This unit can power compatible 12V equipment such as LED strip lights, 3D printers, radios, amplifiers, CCTV systems, LCD monitors and ADSL modems. For example, in a workshop, it can provide a dedicated DC supply for a 12V LED strip or other suitable equipment, with the output rating helping you compare the supply against the device’s requirements before installation. The same approach applies to radio or audio setups: check the equipment’s required voltage and current, then connect only when they match the supply’s output capacity.

A switching supply is a practical alternative to a bulky power-frequency transformer when a compact, fixed indoor unit is more suitable. The aluminium alloy casing, built-in fan and perforations are designed to aid heat dissipation, while short-circuit, overvoltage and overcurrent protection add safeguards for the connected equipment. The unit also has an automatic shut-off function in the event of a surge.

## Is it worth it?
If your project needs a 12V DC source, this OFFCUP supply brings the key selection details together: 10A output, up to 120W, and AC input options of 110V or 220V. That makes it relevant for compatible workshop equipment, lighting, radio and monitoring setups, rather than a general-purpose supply for devices with different voltage requirements. Its compact dimensions and surface-mount format suit an indoor installation where a dedicated power unit is useful. Match the input setting and the connected device’s requirements, and it offers a clear, practical way to power suitable 12V equipment.
