## Description

As a USB 3.0 Wi-Fi 6 adapter, the NEWFAST U351 provides a wireless connection option for a compatible desktop or laptop running Windows 10 or Windows 11. Its dual-band design supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, giving you a choice of supported bands for everyday browsing, video streaming, online gaming and file transfers.

The adapter is rated for theoretical speeds of up to 3,000 Mbps, with listed rates of 2,402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. WPA3 encryption adds a current security option for supported networks, while OFDMA is designed to help manage latency on busy networks.

## Tech summary

The U351 combines Wi-Fi 6 connectivity with a USB 3.0 interface, making it a practical alternative to fitting an internal network card when you want to add wireless networking through a USB port. It supports IEEE 802.11ax, 802.11ac, 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11n, so it can work with a range of Wi-Fi standards. The listed theoretical rates give a useful indication of its intended capacity for demanding tasks, while actual connection performance depends on the network and conditions in use.

For example, connect a compatible Windows laptop to a home Wi-Fi network for a video call, then use the same adapter for online play or transferring larger work files. Dual-band support lets you use the band available on your router, and OFDMA is intended to reduce latency where a network is shared by multiple devices. WPA3 provides a security option when the network supports it.

## How to use it

Connect the adapter to a USB 3.0 port on a compatible desktop or laptop and use it to access a supported wireless network. It is also compatible with USB 2.0, offering another connection option where that is the available port. Check that the computer is running Windows 10 (32-bit or 64-bit) or Windows 11 (64-bit), and select a Wi-Fi network and band supported by your router. For the added protection of WPA3, the network itself must also support WPA3.

## What you get

The product information lists one U351 wireless adapter and one user manual. Its compact USB-dongle format keeps the connection external to the computer, rather than relying on an internal network card installation.

## What to clarify

**Can I use it with Windows 11?** Yes. It supports Windows 11 64-bit, as well as Windows 10 in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

**Which Wi-Fi bands does it support?** It supports dual-band Wi-Fi on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, with listed theoretical rates of 574 Mbps and 2,402 Mbps respectively.

**Does it support WPA3?** Yes. WPA3-SAE is among its supported security protocols, your router or access point must support WPA3 to use that option.

## When it makes sense

The NEWFAST U351 suits someone who wants to add Wi-Fi 6 to a supported Windows desktop or laptop using a USB connection, with dual-band support and WPA3 available for compatible networks. Compared with choosing an internal network card, its USB format offers a straightforward external route to wireless networking. It is especially relevant for a PC used for streaming, gaming, video calls or file transfers where dual-band connectivity and a USB 3.0 interface are useful features.
