## Description

At 2 m long, the lalasis PQ254-2 DisplayPort 2.1 cable gives you room to connect a PC or laptop to a compatible monitor or HDTV without placing them side by side.

Its 80 Gbps bandwidth supports high-resolution video and refresh-rate modes, including 16K at 60Hz, 8K at 120Hz and 4K at up to 240Hz. The right mode depends on the connected equipment.

Setting up a gaming display or a multi-screen workspace? Features such as FreeSync, G-Sync and MST support help you match the cable to a more demanding display arrangement.

## Who it’s for

This cable is suited to people connecting DisplayPort-equipped PCs, laptops, graphics cards, gaming monitors or HDTVs. It supports DisplayPort 2.1 and is backward compatible with DP 2.0, 1.4, 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1, making it practical for setups that include different generations of DisplayPort equipment.

For gaming, support for FreeSync and G-Sync is relevant when the connected display and graphics hardware also support those technologies. For work or entertainment, MST can extend a setup across multiple monitors, subject to device support. If your priority is a standard display connection, a simpler cable may suit that use, this one is aimed at high-bandwidth video and flexible screen setups.

## Pros

The high bandwidth and supported refresh-rate modes make this a useful match for high-resolution monitors and gaming displays, when the connected devices support the selected mode. HDR support adds another display feature for compatible equipment, while DSC 1.2a and HDCP 2.2 are included for supported display setups. The cable also supports audio transmission.

Its braided exterior, aluminium alloy housing and multi-layer shielding are practical construction details for a cable that may be connected and routed around a desk. Plug-and-play use keeps setup straightforward: connect the DisplayPort ends to the compatible devices, then select the required display mode in your system settings. For multi-monitor use, MST support can help extend the workspace, with the connected devices needing to support the feature.

Buyers describe the cable as working well, and some also highlight its value. One buyer mentions no lag, this is an individual impression rather than a performance guarantee, but it reflects the kind of smooth connection sought for gaming and display use.

## Should you buy it?

Choose the lalasis PQ254-2 if you want a 2 m DisplayPort cable for a high-resolution screen, a high-refresh-rate gaming monitor or a multi-monitor setup. Its 80 Gbps bandwidth, support for HDR and adaptive sync technologies, and braided construction give it a clear role in an advanced DisplayPort connection. Match the selected resolution and refresh rate to the capabilities of your source device and display to make the most of the setup.
