## Getting the most from it
Use the adjustable temperature and timer to dry fruit for snacks, vegetables for cooking, herbs for the kitchen or meat for jerky. The range from 35°C to 85°C gives you control over the drying setting, and the timer can be set for up to 24 hours. This makes the appliance useful when you want to prepare several types of dried food at home rather than rely only on ready-made snacks.

For example, a batch of tomatoes, carrots, peppers or figs can be dried for later use. Buyers have highlighted the dehydrator’s performance and described successfully drying these kinds of produce. The six dishwasher-safe metal grids also make post-use cleaning more straightforward. What makes it practical for regular kitchen use? The combination of touchscreen controls, a long adjustable timer and multiple trays keeps the process in one countertop appliance.

The unit measures 43D x 34.5W x 31.5H centimetres and weighs 4kg. Its stated noise level is 45–50 dB, and overheating protection automatically stops operation if the internal temperature rises to the warning value. Use the digital controls to choose the temperature and drying time for the food you are preparing.

## Who it’s for
It suits you if you want to make dried fruit, vegetables, herbs or meat at home, with a choice of temperature settings and six trays in one appliance. The format also supports preparing snacks and ingredients to take along for camping or hiking. If you are choosing between buying prepared dried food and making it yourself, the Shaftesbury gives you an appliance designed for drying a range of ingredients in your own kitchen.

## Buying verdict
For home cooks who want more control over dried snacks and ingredients, the Klarstein Shaftesbury brings together six metal trays, a digital touch display and a 0–24-hour timer. Its adjustable 35°C–85°C temperature range makes it a practical fit for drying fruit, vegetables, herbs and meat, whether you are preparing food for the week or packing snacks for a trip.
