## Description

Choose a car stereo for simple radio listening, or one that brings phone apps and navigation into the dashboard. The Haudio CVD7495-AJ is designed for the latter, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto alongside FM/AM/RDS radio.

Its 7-inch IPS touchscreen gives maps, calls and music a clear display, while voice control lets you use Siri or Google Assistant without reaching for your phone.

Designed for listed Volkswagen and Skoda fitments, including the Golf 6, Passat, Polo, Tiguan and Jetta, it also adds a reversing camera and customisable screen options for everyday driving.

## The essentials

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide access to compatible phone features on the stereo’s touchscreen. A wired connection is also supported, as is screen mirroring. This gives you a choice between a cable-free setup for regular journeys and a wired connection when that better suits your routine.

The 7-inch IPS display has a 1024 × 600 resolution, with wide viewing angles. Choose from 25 interface themes, or use split-screen and picture-in-picture modes to arrange information on screen. Built-in Wi-Fi and GPS navigation support navigation use, while Bluetooth 4.1 and USB provide options for playing music. FM, AM and RDS radio offer familiar broadcast listening, and EQ/ASP settings let you adjust the sound.

A 720P AHD reversing camera with a 140° viewing angle is included. The camera adds a view behind the car when reversing, while the stereo’s voice-control support offers hands-free access to Siri or Google Assistant. The unit has 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM, and includes Canbus support.

## Usage tips

For daily commuting, wireless CarPlay or Android Auto can bring calls, music and map apps to the screen without a routine cable connection. If you prefer a wired setup, connect your phone that way instead. Voice control is available through “Hi Siri” or “OK Google”, helping you handle compatible functions while keeping your attention on driving.

For longer drives, use the built-in GPS navigation or connect through Wi-Fi for real-time traffic updates. Split-screen and picture-in-picture modes can help keep useful information visible alongside another app. The included reversing camera is suited to manoeuvring, while FM/AM/RDS radio gives you another option for news and audio on the road.

## Practical tips

This is a vehicle-specific 2-DIN stereo rather than a universal-fit screen. Its listed applications include VW Golf 6, Passat, Polo, Tiguan and Jetta, as well as Skoda vehicles. Before ordering, check your vehicle’s model year and centre-console layout against the intended fitment, a photo of the dashboard can help confirm the match. Installation accessories and wires are included, and the manufacturer provides a one-year warranty.

The stereo offers a more integrated approach than choosing a basic radio alone: phone connectivity, navigation features, a touchscreen and a reversing-camera view are brought together in one unit. Buyer feedback is mixed on quality and value, so consider the features you plan to use and the fit with your car when making your choice.

## Should you buy it?

The Haudio CVD7495-AJ is suited to drivers with a compatible VW or Skoda who want smartphone access, radio and reversing-camera support in a single dashboard stereo. Its wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, 7-inch IPS touchscreen and included camera make it a practical fit for journeys that call for maps, calls and music as well as everyday reversing assistance.
