## Description

Made from doubleshot PBT, these black pudding-style keycaps pair translucent sides and legends with a German QWERTZ layout. The layered design lets RGB lighting shine through and around the keys. They are made for MX-style switches with cross-shaped stems. Could this be a more expressive way to customise a mechanical keyboard while keeping its familiar layout?

## What to know
The translucent sides and legends are the defining feature of the GPBT Aura set: when used with keyboard RGB backlighting, they create a diffused glow around each key. This gives the lighting a visible role across the keyboard, rather than relying on an opaque keycap surface. It is a practical choice for a desk setup where lighting is part of the look, as well as for anyone who wants their key legends to stand out.

The keycaps are made from doubleshot PBT polymer. Their lettering is formed as part of the keycap construction, and the material is designed to resist developing a shine or losing its lettering over time. That makes the set suited to regular typing as well as a visual refresh. The black colour keeps the overall appearance restrained, while the translucent details bring out the RGB effect.

The layout is German QWERTZ, so the legends are arranged for that keyboard layout. The keycaps physically support both ANSI and ISO layouts, and fit MX-style switches with cross-shaped stems. They are compatible with all Glorious GMMK keyboards and mechanical keyboards with standard bottom rows. The set contains keycaps only, allowing you to change the appearance of an existing compatible keyboard without replacing the keyboard itself.

## Practical tips
Before fitting the set, match the German QWERTZ legends to your keyboard layout and check that its switches have the standard cross-shaped MX-style stems. The bottom row also needs to be standard for the stated compatibility. These details help you choose a set that suits both the keyboard’s physical arrangement and the legends you want to see while typing.

For a practical RGB desk setup, pair the keycaps with a compatible mechanical keyboard that already has backlighting. The translucent sides and legends let that lighting show through, while the black PBT finish gives the board a darker overall look. If your priority is a uniform, opaque appearance, conventional solid keycaps take a different approach, the Aura set is designed to make the keyboard’s lighting part of its visual character.

## Getting the most from it
The pudding effect is most relevant when the keyboard’s RGB lighting is switched on, so this set is a good match for a keyboard where that feature is already in use. On a work or gaming desk, the glow can make the keys a more prominent part of the setup without changing the keyboard’s switch type or replacing the whole board. The German QWERTZ legends also keep the key layout aligned with the way you type, rather than treating the caps as a purely decorative overlay.

Worth considering if you want to refresh a compatible mechanical keyboard with black doubleshot PBT caps and translucent details that show off RGB backlighting. The combination of a defined German layout, MX-style stem fit and distinctive pudding design gives the set a clear role: update the look of your existing board while retaining its familiar typing arrangement.

## Is it worth it?
Choose the GLORIOUS GPBT Aura when the aim is to make RGB lighting more visible and give a compatible keyboard a black, German QWERTZ finish. Its doubleshot PBT construction, translucent sides and legends, and MX-style switch fit make it a focused replacement set for a suitable mechanical keyboard. It is particularly well suited to anyone who wants the keyboard itself to contribute more to the look of a lit desk setup.
