## Description

For children who need pencils for colouring, drawing and sketching, GIOTTO STILNOVO Maxi offers a thick, bold point and an ergonomic shape that is comfortable to hold. The set contains 18 coloured pencils, with cedarwood bodies and a cylindrical design.

The 4.3 mm point gives a broad line suited to filling in shapes and building up drawings. An ergonomic grip and ambidextrous design make the pencils practical for left- and right-handed users.

## Where it shines

These pencils are made for hands-on creative activities, from colouring pictures to sketching ideas and adding detail to drawings. Their thick point is useful when a child wants to cover an area with confident strokes, while the cedarwood body provides a familiar pencil format for everyday use at home or during art activities.

Choosing between a thick-point pencil and a finer-point option comes down to the kind of marks needed. The bold 4.3 mm point is well suited to broader colouring and expressive drawing, what could be more useful for young artists than a pencil that feels comfortable as they work through a picture? The ergonomic grip supports a relaxed hold, and the ambidextrous design accommodates either hand.

## Key takeaways

The set brings together 18 coloured pencils in the STILNOVO Maxi range. Each has a cylindrical cedarwood body, an ergonomic grip and a thick, bold point measuring 4.3 mm. The pencils are rated HB and are intended for colouring, drawing and sketching, giving children one set for a range of creative tasks.

Their child-friendly design makes them a practical choice for a home drawing kit or a shared supply for art activities. If you’re choosing pencils for a young artist, the useful distinction here is the broad point and ergonomic form rather than a fine-line format. You’ll like it if comfortable handling and bold strokes matter for the activities you have in mind.

## Getting the most from it

Use the pencils for colouring larger shapes, sketching outlines or adding bold marks to a drawing. For more controlled work, adjust the pressure and direction of each stroke to suit the area being coloured. The 18-piece set is easy to bring into a creative routine, whether children are drawing independently or working on a project at the table.

The cedarwood pencil format is ready for familiar pencil-and-paper activities, and the ergonomic shape helps keep the focus on drawing. With a thick point, the pencils are particularly suited to work where visible, broad strokes are welcome.

## Final verdict

GIOTTO STILNOVO Maxi is a straightforward choice for children’s colouring, drawing and sketching when a thick, bold point is preferred. Its 18 pencils, 4.3 mm point and ergonomic, ambidextrous design combine practical handling with a broad mark, making the set a useful addition to a young artist’s everyday creative supplies.
