## Description

Choosing a bookcase for a few favourites is different from organising a full collection alongside display pieces. The FirFurd e brings both jobs together in one tall, open unit.

Its 17 compartments give books, documents, framed photos and ornaments their own places, helping keep a home office or living space organised and easy to browse.

With an oak colour, Scandinavian styling and a freestanding design, it adds practical vertical storage without taking up a broad footprint in the room.

## Why it makes sense

A single row of shelves can leave smaller items jumbled together. Here, 17 separate compartments make it easier to group books by subject, keep paperwork together and give decorative pieces a defined spot. The open fronts mean items remain visible and accessible, so it works as a bookcase as well as a display shelf.

The compartments are arranged in two heights: those in the centre measure 48 x 22 x 34.5cm, while those on either side measure 48 x 22 x 28.5cm. That variation helps accommodate different-sized belongings and gives the shelving a more distinctive, offset appearance. The oak colour and Scandinavian style suit a range of home settings, from an office or living room to a hallway, bedroom or dining area.

## Quick overview

The unit measures 188 x 149 x 23.5cm (height x width x depth) and has 17 open compartments. It is made from chipboard with a melamine coating and has a laminated finish in oak colour. The freestanding design is intended for storage and display, including books, documents, decorative items and kitchen utensils. Each compartment has a stated load capacity of 20kg, the bottom three shelves can hold up to 30kg each.

Assembly is required, with numbered parts and instructions provided. Two people are recommended for assembly. Mounting accessories include two L-shaped anti-tip devices, and a reinforced back panel adds to the unit’s stability. Customers often praise its spacious layout and appearance, and describe assembly instructions as clear, these are buyer impressions rather than a substitute for following the supplied instructions.

## Care tips

Wipe the surface with a dry cloth to keep the melamine finish looking neat. When arranging the shelves, use the different compartment heights to separate larger books from smaller items or display pieces. Follow the assembly instructions and fit the included anti-tip devices as part of setting up the bookcase.

## What to clarify

**How much storage space does it offer?** It has 17 open compartments across a tall, 188cm-high frame. The centre compartments are 34.5cm high, while those at the sides are 28.5cm high, making it easier to arrange items by size.

**What are the overall dimensions?** The bookcase measures 188cm high, 149cm wide and 23.5cm deep. Allow for its full width when choosing where to position it.

**What is involved in assembly?** Assembly is required. The parts are numbered and instructions are included, two people are recommended. The included L-shaped anti-tip devices form part of the setup.

## When it makes sense

Worth considering if you want one piece of furniture to organise a sizeable book collection and display smaller belongings in the same place. Its 17 compartments, varied shelf heights and slim depth make it a practical fit for home offices and shared living spaces where accessible storage matters as much as a tidy, coordinated look.
