## Description

Some coffee drinkers want a straightforward replacement filter, while others prioritise water treatment as part of their daily routine. The FILSWA FW400_Parent is a six-pack of filters made with activated charcoal from coconut shells. It is designed for a range of Siemens EQ coffee machines and helps reduce chlorine, limescale and other impurities in the water used for drinks.

## Why it’s worth it
Water quality can affect both the taste of a coffee and the care of the machine that prepares it. These filters use coconut-shell activated charcoal to reduce chlorine and water hardness, while their fine filtration is designed to retain impurities such as lead, copper and limescale. The stated filtration also preserves essential minerals, supporting the flavour of coffee, tea and other beverages.

A pack of six gives you replacement filters to hand for an ongoing coffee routine. Rather than choosing a filter solely by its material or pack size, the key practical point is compatibility: this model is listed for several Siemens EQ ranges as well as selected Bosch, Brita and other filter systems. Buyers have also described the filtration as effective and the fit in Siemens EQ machines as good, these are customer impressions, not a substitute for checking the machine series.

## At a glance
- Type: Coffee machine water filter
- Material: Activated charcoal made from coconut shells
- What’s included: 6 water filters
- Compatibility: Siemens EQ.3, EQ.5, EQ6, EQ.7, EQ.8 and EQ.9 series, including listed S-series models, also listed for selected Bosch and other filter systems
- Product benefits: Reduces chlorine and water hardness, filtration targets limescale and heavy metals

## Care tips
Before fitting a filter for use, soak it in water for 5–10 minutes. The recommended replacement interval is every two months, adjusted according to water quality. Replacing it on that schedule helps keep filtration part of your regular coffee-machine routine. Check the series or filter reference for your machine against the compatibility information before choosing a replacement, particularly where the machine is identified by a specific EQ or S-series number.

## Practical questions

The compatibility information also names selected Bosch and other filter systems, including Brita Intenza.

**What should I do before using a new filter?** Soak it in water for 5–10 minutes. The recommended replacement interval is every two months, depending on water quality.

## Final verdict
For Siemens EQ owners looking for a coconut-shell charcoal filter in a multi-pack, the FILSWA FW400_Parent brings together broad listed compatibility, filtration aimed at chlorine and limescale, and a clear replacement routine. It suits you if you want to keep a supply of filters ready for regular coffee-making and match the replacement to your machine’s series.
