Durable 822301 Retractable Badge Reel with Lanyard, Black, Pack of 10
Product description
The retractable badge reel gives an ID card room to extend when needed, while keeping it attached to a black lanyard. The lanyard has a safety release designed to open if it becomes trapped or caught. Supplied in a pack of 10, these holders are made for everyday use with name badges and key fobs.
Where it shines
A retractable reel is useful when a badge needs to be brought forward for viewing or use, then kept close at hand again. Rather than relying on a fixed-length lanyard alone, this design combines the lanyard with an extending reel, giving staff a practical way to carry an ID card throughout the day. Its black finish keeps the look straightforward for workplace identification.
The lanyard measures 440mm and the badge reel extends to 850mm. That reach can help when a badge needs to be presented without taking the lanyard off. The safety release is a useful feature for busy environments: if the lanyard is caught or trapped, it is designed to open.
Key features
Each holder combines a lanyard and retractable badge reel, with a pack of 10 for teams or workplaces that need several matching holders. The product is described for ID cards, name badges and key fobs, making it suitable for keeping everyday identification or a small fob attached and accessible.
It can be combined with Durable name badges that have punched holes. This makes it a practical choice when you already use those badges and want a lanyard-and-reel arrangement, rather than choosing a separate fixed lanyard or a standalone reel. The stated reel length is 850mm, while the lanyard length is 440mm.
Usage tips
Use the lanyard with a Durable name badge that has a punched hole, or with an ID card or key fob suited to the holder. Before wearing it, make sure the badge or fob is attached securely. Keep the safety release clear so it can open if the lanyard becomes caught, as intended.
For a shared workplace supply, the pack of 10 makes it straightforward to issue holders to several people at once. The black finish also gives the group a consistent appearance without drawing attention away from the badge itself. Store unused holders together so they are easy to organise and hand out when needed.
When it makes sense
It makes sense if you need several retractable holders for staff, visitors or a shared work area, and want each person to carry an ID card or key fob on a lanyard. The extending reel offers more flexibility than a fixed lanyard when a badge needs to be brought forward, while the safety release adds a practical feature for day-to-day wear. For workplaces using compatible Durable name badges with punched holes, this pack brings the lanyard and reel together in one simple identification solution.
