COMFAST CF-924AC AC1300 USB Wi-Fi Adapter, Dual-Band, USB 3.0, Two Antennas
Product description
Dual-band Wi-Fi support gives you a choice of 5GHz or 2.4GHz wireless connectivity, so you can use the band that suits your network setup.
The COMFAST CF-924AC AC1300 adapter connects through USB and is designed for a PC, desktop or laptop. Its two antennas are part of a compact dongle-style way to add wireless networking.
With support for Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 and 7, as well as Mac OS 10.9–10.15, it can serve a range of compatible computers.
Key points
This adapter supports the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac protocols and both 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands. That makes it a practical choice when you want an external Wi-Fi connection for a computer, rather than relying on its existing wireless hardware. The dual-band design also gives you the flexibility to use either supported band on your network.
The listed data transfer rate is 1300 Megabits per second. This provides a clear specification to compare when choosing a wireless adapter, while the actual connection also depends on the network and the equipment it is used with. A USB 3.0 interface connects the dongle to a compatible computer, USB 2.0 is also listed as a supported interface.
Usage tips
Use the CF-924AC with a desktop or laptop running one of its supported operating systems to add Wi-Fi through a USB port. It can be useful when setting up a computer in a room where a wired network connection is not the chosen approach, or when you want an external adapter instead of depending on built-in wireless hardware.
For example, connect it to a compatible desktop and use the available 5GHz or 2.4GHz band to join your wireless network. The choice of two bands makes the adapter more flexible than a single-band option, while its USB connection keeps the wireless adapter separate from the computer’s internal components.
Practical tips
Check that the computer’s operating system is among the supported versions: Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 or 7, or Mac OS 10.9–10.15. Then connect the adapter through a USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port. Its black, dongle-style format is suited to adding wireless connectivity without choosing a separate network card.
The two antennas and support for several Wi-Fi protocols make this a straightforward option for bringing wireless networking to a compatible PC, desktop or laptop. When comparing adapters, consider whether you want dual-band support and a USB connection, or prefer to use the computer’s existing Wi-Fi hardware.
Should you buy it?
