CLOSEMATE CT05 Football Grip Socks with Silicone Grip and Arch Support
Product description
If you want a simple everyday sock, your priorities may be different from someone looking for a steadier feel during sport. CLOSEMATE CT05 football grip socks combine silicone grip detailing with arch support, cushioning and breathable mesh for football and other active sessions where comfort and foot movement matter.
Their cotton feel and reinforced heel and toe make them a practical choice for regular training, while the mid-calf height can help hold the lower half of shin guards in place. For a more locked-in shin-guard fit, the manufacturer recommends pairing them with shin guard sleeves.
Who it’s for
These socks are designed for men and women taking part in football, basketball, tennis, running, hiking or yoga. The grip is intended to help reduce slipping inside footwear, while arch compression supports a secure, held feel during movement. Cushioned fabric and anti-blister pads add comfort for sessions involving repeated steps, changes of direction or time on your feet.
They’re also a useful option for anyone who wants sports socks with more support and grip features than a basic pair. For a football session, the mid-calf cut can help cover the lower half of shin guards, add shin guard sleeves if you want them held fully in place.
Key specifications

The design includes silicone grip detailing, arch compression and cushioning. The heel and toe are reinforced, with double-layer construction in those areas using high-strength nylon fibres. Multiple sizes are available, and the manufacturer describes the fabric as highly elastic with a 3D knit for a close, supportive fit.
Strengths
The main benefit is the combination of grip and comfort in one sports sock. Silicone detailing is designed to help keep the foot from sliding, while arch compression gives support around the instep. Breathable mesh helps manage comfort during wear, and cushioning and anti-blister pads are intended to reduce friction during activity.
Reinforcement at the heel and toe focuses on areas that experience regular contact and friction, making the design suited to training on different surfaces, including artificial turf. The manufacturer also states that the grip is designed to withstand over 50 washes, washing inside out and air drying are recommended to help preserve it.
What matters more during a session: a comfortable fit, or keeping your foot secure inside your footwear? CT05 brings both considerations together, rather than focusing on grip alone. Buyers commonly praise the comfort, fit and grip, and some describe the socks as good value. Feedback on durability is mixed, so long-term experiences vary.
Is it worth it?
For footballers and other active users who want grip, arch support and cushioning in a single pair of sports socks, CLOSEMATE CT05 offers a focused set of practical features. It suits training and outdoor activity where a secure feel and comfort matter, with reinforced heel and toe areas and a mid-calf fit that works alongside shin guards.
