De Buyer 3509 Stainless Steel Lid, 14 cm, Dishwasher-Safe
Product description
The brushed stainless steel finish gives the De Buyer 3509 lid a practical cover for everyday cooking, while its domed shape leaves room above the food. The listed dimensions are 14L x 14W centimetres, so it is the 14 cm size rather than one of the larger variations in the range.
Made in France from AISI 304 stainless steel, it has a satin finish and a welded stainless steel tube bridge for lifting. The maker states that it fits all tools in the Prim'Appety range, which makes that cookware range the clearest match to consider.
A solid pick if you need a single stainless steel lid in this size for compatible cookware. You may want to skip it if you need a different diameter: the range is available from 14 to 36 cm, but the listed dimensions for this product are 14 x 14 centimetres.

The stainless steel construction and simple shape suit cooks who want a reusable lid rather than a more specialised cover. Its stated fit with Prim'Appety tools is useful when matching it to that range, for other cookware, the listed dimensions are the key detail to compare. The source also describes the lid as dishwasher safe. Occasional polishing with a stainless steel polishing paste can restore its shine, though this is optional maintenance rather than a requirement for ordinary use.
Best use cases
Use it to cover compatible cookware during routine cooking or reheating on the hob, helping keep a pan covered while food cooks. The domed profile is a practical choice when you want some clearance above the contents instead of a flat cover. For a simple kitchen set-up, it offers a durable metal alternative to buying a lid made from a different material, provided the size and fit suit the pan.
The fit claim is specific to the Prim'Appety range, the available details do not identify a universal fit across other cookware. If you are pairing it with a different pan, compare its dimensions with the pan before choosing. That matters more than the finish when a secure match is the priority.
Included in the pack
The listing specifies one piece: the De Buyer stainless steel lid. It does not list any additional accessories.
Questions before you buy
Is it dishwasher safe? Yes. The product details state that it can be cleaned in a dishwasher.
What cookware is it designed to fit? The manufacturer says it fits all tools in the Prim'Appety range. For other cookware, the listed 14 x 14 centimetre dimensions are the available sizing information.
How can the finish be restored? The care information says occasional use of a special stainless steel polishing paste can bring back its shine.
Is it worth it?
This lid makes most sense when you want a stainless steel cover in the 14 cm size and own compatible Prim'Appety cookware. Its domed form, welded lifting bridge and dishwasher-safe construction address everyday convenience without adding complicated features. If your priority is a lid for another pan, the fit information is less conclusive, so matching the dimensions to that cookware should guide the decision.
