Bosch Aerotwin AR997S Front Windscreen Wipers, 600 mm/550 mm Pair
Product description
The Bosch Aerotwin AR997S set pairs a 600 mm driver’s-side blade with a 550 mm passenger-side blade for the front windscreen. Both are made with synthetic rubber.
A pre-assembled adapter is included to make fitting more straightforward. The set is intended for vehicle-specific fit, so the blade lengths alone are not enough to confirm compatibility.
For a car that needs these exact sizes, the pair offers a single replacement for both front wipers rather than buying blades separately. Check the vehicle fit before choosing it.
How to use it
These blades are for the front windscreen, with the longer blade on the driver’s side and the shorter one on the passenger side. They are suited to routine replacement when the existing front blades need changing, for example, a matched pair can restore wiping across both sides of the screen before wet-weather driving.
The supplied adapter is pre-assembled, which should simplify installation, but the stated fit is vehicle-specific. Use the vehicle configurator to confirm the set is suitable for your car and note any listed restrictions. The product details also label the automotive fit as universal, so relying on that label alone would not resolve compatibility.
What stands out
The main buying point is that both front blades come together in the required 600 mm and 550 mm lengths. Bosch also attributes the rubber’s longer service life to its Power Protection Plus technology and says the blades are designed to wipe in all weather conditions. These are manufacturer claims rather than independent performance results in the product details.
The manufacturer describes a coating intended to help the rubber glide across wet and semi-dry glass, while an aerodynamic spoiler is said to limit wind resistance and sweep noise. That may appeal if you are replacing worn blades and want a paired, vehicle-matched set rather than selecting each side separately. How much these features matter will depend on your priorities and the condition of your current wipers.
It suits you if your vehicle requires these front-blade lengths and you want a set with an adapter already fitted. It’s not for you if you cannot confirm the vehicle fit: the product information does not list specific compatible makes or models. For a car needing different sizes, a correctly matched alternative is the more sensible purchase.

What to clarify
How do I check whether it fits my car? Use the vehicle configurator and take account of any restrictions. The listing gives no specific compatible vehicle models.
Are both front blades included? Yes. The set is described as containing a 600 mm driver’s-side blade and a 550 mm passenger-side blade.
Does it need to be assembled before fitting? The adapter is supplied pre-assembled, which is intended to make installation quicker and easier.
Should you buy it?
Choose the AR997S if the stated lengths and vehicle fit match your car and you need both front wipers replaced together. Its paired format and pre-assembled adapter are practical details, while the durability and all-weather performance claims come from Bosch. If compatibility remains uncertain, confirm it before buying rather than treating the universal-fit label as a guarantee.
