## Description

For household power cuts, evening dog walks and outdoor trips, this torch combines a rechargeable power source with adjustable lighting. Its five modes and zoomable beam make it useful for switching between broader nearby light and a narrower beam.

The Blukar 9137 is a compact handheld torch with a stated output of 2,000 lumens, an aluminium body and USB-C charging. It is designed for practical use at home and outdoors rather than as a light with a specified beam distance.

## Everyday use

The beam can be widened or narrowed by adjusting the focus, which is handy when moving between lighting a path and looking at something closer by. High, medium and low settings cover different brightness needs, while strobe and SOS provide two additional modes. The one-button control also lets you switch the torch off directly after more than eight seconds in a mode, rather than cycling through the remaining settings.

For a power cut, the battery indicator gives a quick view of remaining charge before you put the torch away. The built-in 1,800mAh lithium-ion battery is stated to provide up to 17 hours of use, and the included USB-C cable can be used with a power bank, car charger, outlet or laptop. The torch measures 146D x 29W x 25H millimetres, so it can be packed in a bag or stored with household emergency supplies.

## Strengths

The main appeal is having adjustable focus, several light modes and recharging in one small torch. Its aluminium housing and IPX6 waterproof rating also make it a practical choice for outdoor use in wet conditions. The rating is a useful detail to compare when choosing a torch for walks or camping, it should not be taken as a claim that the torch is suitable for every kind of water exposure.

Purchaser feedback often highlights the brightness, battery life and adjustable beam, with some also finding USB recharging straightforward. These comments suggest the core features matter in everyday use, but they are impressions rather than a measured beam-distance or runtime test. A basic torch with replaceable batteries may suit someone who prefers swapping cells, while this model is better suited to someone who wants to recharge it and check the remaining battery level.

## What to know

The stated runtime is “up to” 17 hours, but no separate duration is given for each brightness mode. If you prioritise knowing how long it will last on high, that detail is not available in the product information. Likewise, the 2,000-lumen figure gives a brightness specification, but no verified beam distance is provided. The focus adjustment offers flexibility, though it does not establish how far the beam will reach in a particular setting.

It makes sense if you want a rechargeable torch for routine jobs around the house, walks or camping, and value having both a broad and a narrower beam. It’s not for you if you need a stated runtime for each mode or a documented beam distance to plan around.

## Buying verdict

The Blukar 9137 brings together USB-C charging, a battery indicator, five modes and adjustable focus in a compact aluminium torch. That makes it a considered choice for everyday and emergency use, especially if you would rather recharge a built-in battery than keep spare cells on hand. Its most useful details are practical ones: the IPX6 rating, the included charging cable and the option to change the beam shape. Choose it for this mix of flexibility and rechargeable convenience, look for a model with published mode-by-mode runtime or beam-distance figures if those are essential to your decision.
