## Description

At 10.9 x 15 x 5.1 centimetres, the APPS2Car GPS02 is a compact dashboard mount with a folding shell in matt black. A spring clip holds a portable sat nav, while the adhesive base secures the mount to a suitable flat surface in the vehicle. Its fold-flat design keeps the dashboard less cluttered when the holder is not in use.

For navigation on the dashboard, it offers a different approach from a windscreen or air-vent mount: the device sits on an adhesive-backed base rather than being suspended from the glass or fitted to a vent.

## Technical overview
The GPS02 combines a spring clip with 3M anti-slip tape to keep the holder in place on a suitable dashboard surface. Its rectangular, folding shell is made from ABS and has a discreet textured finish. The supplied holder weighs 0.21 kilograms and has a stated maximum weight capacity of 210 grams.

The clip-and-shell format is designed for portable navigation devices, including Garmin Nuvi, dezl and drive, TomTom GO, Start and VIA, Magellan Roadmate, Rand McNally and Navman models. It can also hold small items such as a parking card or keys. The product description identifies GPS units with cameras as unsuitable for this mount.

## Everyday compatibility
For regular sat nav use, the spring clip gives the device a defined place on the dashboard, keeping navigation within view without using a windscreen mount. The listed vehicle settings include motorhomes, trucks and taxis, as well as other vehicle types. Choose a flat, suitable dashboard area for the adhesive base so the holder can sit securely and the sat nav remains easy to see while driving.

The product is also described for hands-free mobile phone use, and the supplied clip design can accommodate a phone with a case or ring holder. However you use it, keep the device positioned so it does not obstruct your view of the road. Buyers highlight the firm dashboard hold and the mount’s usefulness with sat navs and phones, making it a practical format for drivers who want one holder for everyday navigation rather than a windscreen fitting.

## Tips for day-to-day use
Before attaching the base, choose a clean, flat position that leaves the driver’s view clear and keeps the device accessible. Press the mount into place on the dashboard, then use the spring clip to secure the sat nav. When it is not needed, fold the shell flat to reduce its presence in the cabin. The adhesive base is described as washable to help restore its grip, which can be useful when maintaining the mount between uses.

If your priority is keeping a navigation device on the dashboard, the GPS02 provides a folding alternative to a windscreen or vent-mounted holder. Its compact rectangular form, clip design and adhesive base suit routine sat nav use across the listed vehicle types.

## Is it worth it?
The APPS2Car GPS02 is well suited to drivers who want a dedicated dashboard position for a compatible portable sat nav, with a holder that folds away when parked or no longer needed. The spring clip, matt black shell and adhesive fixing make it a straightforward choice for everyday navigation in a car, taxi, truck or motorhome.
