Soundcore P30i A3959 Adaptive ANC Wireless Earbuds, Green

The green Soundcore P30i are in-ear wireless earbuds with adaptive active noise cancellation and a charging case that doubles as a phone stand. That second use is a practical extra for watching a programme on a mobile phone while travelling, rather than just storing and charging the earbuds.

They also offer Transparency mode, app-based sound customisation and a stated 45 hours of playtime with the case. The main trade-off is that the quoted listening time is lower when ANC is switched on.

The essentials

The P30i use 10 mm drivers with Soundcore’s BassUp feature, alongside adaptive ANC that is stated to reduce noise by up to 42 dB. The earbuds can switch to Transparency mode when you want to hear more of your surroundings. These modes make them more versatile than a basic pair of wireless earbuds without noise control, though the effect of ANC can vary with the setting and your surroundings.

Sound can be adjusted in the app, which offers 22 EQ presets as well as custom EQ options. For calls, the product information lists four microphones with AI. Bluetooth 5.4 is specified, and charging connects through USB-C. The stated water-resistance rating is IP54.

Battery figures depend on how you use them: the listed playtime is 10 hours on a charge, or 45 hours with the case, under normal conditions. With ANC on, the figures are 6 hours and 25 hours respectively. A 10-minute quick charge is stated to provide 2 hours of playtime. The case also has a built-in phone stand, but wireless charging is not supported.

Buyer feedback is favourable on sound, appearance and fit, while comfort is not consistent for everyone. Opinions on noise cancellation and battery life are mixed too, so those points are better treated as personal-use variables than guaranteed strengths.

Getting the most from it

Use the app to choose an EQ setting that suits the music or spoken audio you listen to, rather than assuming the default sound will suit every preference. BassUp is relevant if you like a fuller bass presentation, the custom EQ gives you another way to adjust it. The case stand is handy when you want to prop up a phone for hands-free viewing, particularly during a journey or a break at a desk.

For longer listening, bear in mind that ANC-on figures are lower than the normal playtime figures. If you need the stated maximum, those figures apply to normal use, not ANC-on listening. The case charges through USB-C, so plan to use a cable rather than a wireless charging pad.

How to use it

Pair the earbuds with a Bluetooth device such as a phone or laptop, then choose between ANC and Transparency mode according to whether you want to reduce outside noise or hear more of it. Use the app for sound adjustments. To use the stand, open the case’s rear panel and place your phone against it, it is a useful feature for viewing, not an extra audio function.

It’s a good fit if you want in-ear earbuds with ANC, app-based EQ and a case that can support a phone. It’s not for you if wireless charging is essential, as the case does not offer it.

Buying verdict

The Soundcore P30i A3959 combines everyday listening features with a genuinely useful case design. It makes more sense than a simpler pair if you’ll use the noise-control modes or phone stand, if those extras are not relevant, they may not influence your choice. The documented battery difference with ANC on is worth factoring into longer listening sessions, and mixed buyer views on comfort and noise cancellation make fit and personal expectations important parts of the decision.
