## Description

The silver-coated backing reflects heat and helps block light, creating a darker, more private space for sleep or work. The AICOYA AI-013 blackout blind measures 240 x 145cm and can be cut to fit different window sizes. Suction cups and hook-and-loop fastenings offer a no-drill way to attach it. Need a shade that can adapt to a roof window as well as a standard window? Its flexible sizing makes that possible.

## Benefits

This blackout fabric is designed to reduce incoming light and help create a dark environment, whether you are sleeping during the day, watching a film at home or working in an office. Its reflective silver-coated back also provides thermal insulation, adding a practical layer for rooms exposed to sunlight. The blind offers privacy from outside as well as light control, so it can suit bedrooms, home cinemas and shared work settings.

Buyers speak positively about its light-blocking performance. Feedback on the fastenings is more mixed: some find the hook-and-loop strips hold well, while others report adhesion or suction-cup issues. The supplied fitting options include suction cups, hook-and-loop strips and double-sided hook-and-loop tape, allowing the fabric to be positioned flexibly.

## Key points

The 240 x 145cm polyester fabric can be cut to size, making it a flexible alternative to choosing a fixed-size blind for every window. It is suitable for roof windows and standard windows, and installation uses the supplied fittings without drilling. For example, it can be trimmed to suit a bedroom window, then used to reduce daylight when the room needs to stay dark for rest. Its waterproof material is washable by hand or in a washing machine, making routine care straightforward.

Compared with a fitted blind made for one specific window, this cuttable shade gives you more freedom to adapt the fabric to different window dimensions. You’ll like it if you want adjustable light control and privacy without drilling into the window area.

## Who it’s for

This blind is suited to people looking for a flexible blackout covering for a bedroom, office, conference room, home cinema or kindergarten. The cut-to-size fabric is useful when a standard fixed-size option does not match the window, while the choice of supplied fastenings supports different installation arrangements. It is also a practical choice for rooms where reducing daylight and outside visibility matters more than having a permanently fitted covering.

## Practical questions

**Can the fabric be adjusted to fit a smaller window?** Yes. The 240 x 145cm fabric is cuttable, so it can be trimmed to suit different window sizes.

**How is the blind attached?** It is designed for no-drill installation and comes with suction cups, hook-and-loop strips and double-sided hook-and-loop tape for flexible positioning.

**How can it be cleaned?** The waterproof polyester material can be washed by hand or in a washing machine.

## Is it worth it?

For anyone who needs adaptable blackout coverage rather than a blind made to one fixed window size, the AICOYA AI-013 combines cut-to-fit fabric with reflective thermal insulation and a choice of no-drill fittings. Its light-blocking and privacy benefits make it a useful option for bedrooms and other spaces where a darker environment helps the room serve its purpose.
