Zobesta Tablecloth 53 x 53 inch

Quick overview

For a small square dining table that needs a little more coverage for everyday meals or a gathering, the Zobesta white gingham tablecloth offers a textured cotton-linen and polyester blend. Its 53 x 53-inch size is intended for square tables measuring 24 x 24 to 32 x 32 inches, with room for an overhang on each side. The white pattern is an easy fit for a kitchen, dining room, patio or picnic setup, and can be paired with different colours through the seasons.

It’s designed to dress the table while helping protect its surface from scratches and wear. Keep in mind that this cloth is not waterproof, so it won’t contain spills or suit a table that needs reliable moisture protection.

Care tips

The care guidance is straightforward: machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle or hand wash, and don’t use bleach. For creases that remain after washing, the fabric can be ironed at a low temperature. That makes it practical for a cloth you plan to bring out for meals and events rather than leave untouched as a purely decorative layer.

Its cotton-linen and polyester construction is described as durable and wrinkle-resistant, but those claims don’t remove the need for gentle laundering. If you’re using it outdoors, bring it in for cleaning rather than treating it as a weatherproof cover.

Practical tips

Measure the tabletop before choosing this size. The stated fit is for square tables from 24 x 24 to 32 x 32 inches, the listing also recommends allowing a 20 to 30 cm drop on each side. That’s useful when you want the cloth to hang visibly, but the actual drop will depend on your table’s dimensions. The product description mentions rectangular tables too, though its size guidance is specifically for square tops.

For a weekend picnic, it can give a small patio table a more finished look, indoors, it can help tie together a simple kitchen or dining setup. Compared with a basic, plain cover, the gingham pattern adds decoration as well as coverage. If spill resistance is your main priority, a waterproof table cover would be the more suitable approach. May interest you if you want a washable cloth for indoor or outdoor occasions and your table fits the stated range.

Before you decide

Is this tablecloth waterproof? No. The product information specifically says it is not waterproof, so it should not be relied on to keep liquids off the table.

What table size is it intended for? The 53 x 53-inch cloth is listed for square tables measuring 24 x 24 to 32 x 32 inches. It also gives a suggested 20 to 30 cm overhang on each side.

How should it be washed? Use a cold, gentle machine cycle or hand wash, don’t bleach. Low-temperature ironing is suggested for stubborn creases.

In your case

Choose it if the measurements suit your square table and you want a white gingham finish that can move between everyday dining and occasions such as parties, weddings or picnics. Perhaps it won’t suit you if you need a waterproof layer, or if your table falls outside the stated square-table size range. The main decision is whether the decorative, washable fabric is more useful to you than the spill protection offered by a different type of cover.
