## Description

For cooks who need to check food quickly while keeping an eye on a cooking appliance, the Zewwen 236S combines an instant-read probe with a wired probe. It suits kitchen and outdoor cooking, from checking meat and frying oil to monitoring food in an oven, grill, BBQ or smoker.

A 1.8-inch backlit display makes readings easier to see, and the hold function keeps a temperature on screen while you move the thermometer away from the heat.

## How to use it
Rotate the probe to switch the thermometer on or off, then use the appropriate probe for the task. The instant-read probe gives a reading in three seconds, the wired probe is designed for monitoring an oven, air fryer, grill, BBQ or smoker while you focus on other parts of the meal. With two probes for different cooking jobs, you can choose between a quick spot check and ongoing monitoring rather than relying on a single style of thermometer.

Use the hold button to retain a reading on the display. To set an alarm, press “ALARM SET” and adjust the target using the “°C/°F” or “HOLD” button. The thermometer beeps when the set temperature is reached. Its built-in magnet lets you attach it to a metal surface, such as an oven or refrigerator, for convenient storage and access.

## What stands out
The combination of an instant-read probe and a wired probe gives the 236S practical flexibility across different recipes. Check meat or candy during preparation, measure oil for frying, or monitor food as it cooks in an oven or smoker. The three-second reading is useful when a quick check is all you need, the wired option lets you keep track of cooking without repeatedly opening the appliance. The alarm adds a hands-free cue when food reaches your chosen temperature.

The large, illuminated screen helps make readings visible in varied lighting, whether you are working at the kitchen counter or grilling outdoors. Buyers commonly praise its ease of use, speed and versatility for cooking. Feedback on accuracy and durability is mixed, so these remain areas where individual experiences differ, the thermometer’s calibration function offers a way to adjust a small reading error using ice water.

## Buying verdict
Choose the Zewwen 236S if your cooking routine calls for both quick temperature checks and monitoring while food cooks. Its dual-probe design, backlit screen, adjustable alarm and calibration function make it a useful fit for varied kitchen and BBQ tasks, with a magnetic back for convenient storage between uses.
