## Description

Covering JIC dash sizes -4, -6, -8, -10, -12 and -16, this ZELCAN kit brings hydraulic hose caps and plugs together for maintenance work across common fitting sizes.

The 37° flare creates a metal-to-metal sealing surface to help block oil leaks during service and protect equipment from pressure loss and fluid contamination.

For repairs in a shop or on-site, the blow-moulded case and custom EVA insert keep the fittings organized and ready to carry. How much easier is it to keep parts sorted when each piece has its place?

## Usage tips

Choose the cap or plug that matches the fitting’s JIC dash size, then use the hex head with a suitable socket tool for handling. Well-cut threads are designed to help prevent misalignment and stripping, supporting a secure fit and reducing wear on mating parts over time. The 37° flare is the sealing interface, so align the fitting carefully during installation to create the intended metal-to-metal contact.

This assortment is suited to hydraulic equipment maintenance in agriculture, industrial settings and construction. For example, during a service job, matching a fitting to one of the included dash sizes lets you cap or plug the connection while helping keep oil contained and the opening protected from contamination. The organized case is useful when work moves between the shop and the job site, as the EVA insert keeps pieces in place between repairs.

## Pros

The range of six listed dash sizes makes the kit useful for maintenance involving several common JIC fitting sizes, rather than sourcing each cap or plug separately. Its 37° flare design provides a defined sealing surface, while the hex heads make the pieces easier to handle with socket tools. Galvanized 1045 steel is specified for tough working conditions, including vibration, pressure spikes and rough outdoor environments.

Compared with keeping loose fittings in a drawer or buying pieces one at a time, this assortment combines a selection of sizes with a dedicated case. That makes it easier to keep components sorted and bring the relevant pieces to a repair location. The thread design is intended to support alignment and help reduce wear on connected parts, making it practical for recurring equipment service.

## Is it worth it?

A solid pick if your maintenance work involves JIC hydraulic fittings in the included dash sizes and you want caps and plugs organized in one portable kit. The 37° metal-to-metal sealing design addresses the practical need to contain oil and protect connections during service, while the fitted case helps keep the assortment ready for the next job. For agricultural, industrial or construction equipment repairs, it brings useful size coverage and organized storage into a single set.
