ZAA CA-Kitchen Drain Strainer-steel 3-in-1 Sink Stopper and Strainer

If you want one fitting to manage water, food scraps and odours at the kitchen sink, the ZAA CA-Kitchen Drain Strainer-steel brings those functions together in a pop-up design.

Its stainless steel basket catches food waste and debris before they enter the drain, while the stopper lets you hold water for washing or soaking.

Need to switch from filling the sink to draining it? Press the pop-up button to change the stopper position, with the basket continuing to collect scraps as water flows away.

What stands out

This 3-in-1 drain fitting combines a strainer, sink stopper and odour-blocking design in one compact unit. The pop-up mechanism offers a straightforward change between holding water and draining the sink, so there’s no need to handle a separate plug when moving between those tasks. Meanwhile, the basket helps keep food scraps out of the drain and makes them easier to collect for disposal.

The basket is stainless steel, and the fitting has a polished finish with a brass bounce core. It is designed for a standard 3-1/2-inch sink drain opening, with a stated depth of 1.46 inches. Measure the opening and available depth before choosing a replacement drain fitting to help ensure it suits your sink.

Compared with using a simple strainer and a separate stopper, this integrated design keeps both functions in one fitting. That can be especially useful during everyday washing: hold water while rinsing produce or soaking dishes, then press the button to drain while the basket catches debris.

Key takeaways

The main benefit is having one pop-up fitting for several regular sink jobs. Use it to retain water when needed, then open it to drain while filtering food residue. Its anti-clogging basket is intended to help reduce food waste entering the drain, and the odour-blocking design adds another practical function at the sink.

Buyer feedback often highlights the strainer’s ability to catch food debris, its fit in standard sinks and its straightforward operation. Some buyers also report mixed experiences with leakage and cleaning, so their experiences vary. The stated fit is for a 3-1/2-inch opening, checking your sink’s measurements is a useful step when selecting a drain replacement.

Care & maintenance

The basket gives you a removable place to collect food scraps rather than letting them pass into the drain. Empty it as part of your usual sink clean-up, and clean the polished surface to clear everyday residue. The product description notes that its surface resists water, oil and everyday grime, supporting simple routine care. Keeping the basket clear helps it continue to catch scraps during regular washing and food preparation.

Buying verdict

It makes sense if you’re replacing a kitchen sink drain fitting and want the stopper and strainer functions together, rather than managing separate pieces. The pop-up action supports quick changes between holding and draining water, while the stainless steel basket catches food waste at the drain. For a sink with a compatible 3-1/2-inch opening, this integrated design is a practical fit for everyday washing, rinsing and soaking.
