zaa CA-DPT-1P-G-0221 Collapsible Silicone Bathtub Drain Hair Catcher, Light Grey

A bare drain keeps the bath setup simple, while a catcher helps intercept loose hair and pet fur before they enter the plumbing. This collapsible silicone cover is designed to do that while allowing water to flow through. Its tall, dome-shaped form suits flat and pop-up drains, making it a practical addition to everyday bathing and showering.

How to use it

Restore the catcher to its dome shape, then place it over the drain—no tools are needed. The 4.5-inch diameter is designed for standard drains, including flat and pop-up styles in a bathtub, tub or shower. Its small openings let water pass while catching hair and fur, and can also help keep jewellery from slipping into the drain. The flexible, collapsible design makes it useful in wet areas such as bathrooms, laundry spaces and sinks.

The catcher has a silicone body and a heavier stainless steel piece at the top. Together with its shaped design, these features are intended to help it stay in place in water. Once hair has collected, lift the cover and clean it before returning it to the drain. That straightforward routine gives you a way to collect debris at the surface rather than relying on drain chemicals as your first response to hair build-up.

What you’ll notice day to day

During a shower or bath, hair and pet fur collect on the cover instead of heading straight into the drain. The openings are designed to maintain drainage while the catcher does its job, and the cover can also intercept small jewellery that might otherwise fall through. It’s a simple fit for a household routine: place it over the drain before use, then remove and clean it when needed.

Buyers often describe the catcher as effective at collecting hair and easy to clean, and some appreciate how it fits over different drain styles. Feedback on stability is mixed, so the shaped, weighted design is intended to help keep it positioned during use. Some buyers also report that water drains more slowly with the catcher in place. If you’re choosing between an uncovered drain and a surface catcher, this model prioritizes collecting hair and fur while still providing openings for water to pass through.
