YukiHalu CBB65 50+5 uF Dual Run Capacitor, 370/440 VAC for HVAC

The CBB65 combines 50+5 uF dual-run capacitance in one round capacitor, supporting two motors in an HVAC system. Its three labelled terminals connect the compressor, fan and common line. The 370/440 VAC rating suits compatible air conditioners, heat pumps and condenser units. Match the rating and wiring arrangement to the capacitor being replaced for a practical replacement choice.

Spec sheet

• Type: Dual motor run capacitor
• Model: CBB65
• Capacitance: 50+5 uF (50/5 MFD)
• Capacitance tolerance: 6%
• Rated voltage: 370/440 VAC
• Shape: Round
• Material: Aluminum and polypropylene
• Dimensions: 6 x 6 x 9 cm
• Weight: 290 g
• Operating temperature: -40°C to +70°C
• Terminals: HERM, FAN and C
• What’s included: CBB65 capacitor

The dual-run format brings two capacitance values into one component: HERM connects to the compressor motor, FAN to the fan motor and C to the common line. That makes this format relevant when replacing a compatible dual capacitor, rather than sourcing two separate run capacitors. The listed 6% tolerance and 370/440 VAC rating are useful details to compare with the existing part and equipment requirements.

Best use cases

This capacitor is intended for compatible air conditioners, heat pumps, straight-cool condensers and other HVAC equipment. It may be relevant when a system has trouble starting or its fan is not spinning, but those symptoms alone do not identify the cause, select a replacement based on the installed capacitor’s capacitance, voltage and terminal connections.

For example, during a compatible capacitor replacement, the labelled HERM, FAN and C terminals provide a clear reference for reconnecting the compressor, fan and common wires. Turn off power before servicing, keep track of the wire positions and take care: capacitors can retain electrical energy after the HVAC system is switched off. Discharging a capacitor before service is a standard safety measure for HVAC professionals, so use a qualified technician if you are not equipped to handle the work safely.

What’s included

One CBB65 capacitor is included. Its dual-run design combines the two capacitance values in a single round aluminum case, making it a relevant format for equipment designed to use a compatible dual capacitor. Check the existing part’s rating and wiring layout when selecting a replacement, for this model, the manufacturer lists HERM for the compressor motor, FAN for the fan motor and C for the common line.

Should you buy it?

Worth considering if you need a 50+5 uF dual-run capacitor for a compatible air conditioner, heat pump or condenser and its 370/440 VAC rating and terminal arrangement match the equipment. The combined format serves both the compressor and fan motor from one component, while the labelled connections support clear identification during service. Choose it for an HVAC replacement where those specifications align, and leave handling or installation to an HVAC professional when needed.
