YC DGYCASI Pickleball Paddle Set, Carbon Fibre

If you want to get a game started with a partner, a ready-made set is more practical than buying a paddle on its own. This YC DGYCASI kit includes two paddles and balls for indoor and outdoor play.

Its carbon fibre paddle faces and polypropylene honeycomb cores are aimed at beginner and intermediate players. The set is also listed as USAPA approved for tournament play.

The main trade-off is that the listing gives a grip size and weight range, but no paddle dimensions. If those details matter to your fit, there is less to go on here.

Best use cases

This set suits a first game with a friend, family member or partner: take the carrying bag, choose the indoor or outdoor balls for the setting, and you have the listed basics together. Having two paddles makes it more useful for starting doubles or sharing than a single-paddle purchase, while the four balls offer options for different environments.

It makes sense if you want equipment for casual play or are learning the sport and would rather not source each item separately. The listing also positions the paddles for intermediate players, though it does not provide performance testing or detailed play characteristics beyond its claims about control, bounce and spin.

Product specs

The set contains two carbon fibre paddles with high-density polypropylene honeycomb cores, two outdoor balls, two indoor balls and one carrying bag. Each paddle is listed at 7.2–7.9 ounces. The grip circumference is 4.25 inches and the grip length is 4.9 inches, the handles are described as perforated, cushioned, sweat-absorbent and anti-slip, with hand stitching. An edge guard is included.

The paddles are described as USAPA approved and made to the organisation’s standards. If tournament use is part of your plan, would you want to check the approval label on the specific paddles when they arrive? The product information says each paddle carries one, but does not give further details about the approval record.

Where it shines

The draw is convenience: rather than piecing together paddles and indoor and outdoor balls separately, this bundle gives you a compact starting kit. For example, you could pack the bag for an indoor court session, then use the outdoor balls for a later game outside. That flexibility is useful for a beginner still figuring out where they will play most often.

The grip details and protected edges may also appeal if comfort and everyday handling matter to you. Still, the listing does not state the paddle dimensions, and the 7.2–7.9-ounce range leaves the weight of each individual paddle unspecified. Without having tested it, it is best to treat claims about feel, spin and reduced ball deflection as product claims rather than a guarantee that the paddles will suit your swing.

Final decision

This bundle is a sensible starting point if you want two paddles, balls for both indoor and outdoor play, and a bag in one purchase. It is not for you if you need exact paddle dimensions or a precise weight for each paddle before choosing, those specifics are not provided. For a beginner choosing between a complete kit and assembling equipment piece by piece, the included extras are the clearest reason to consider this set. More experienced players who already know their preferred paddle shape or weight may want fuller specifications before settling on it.
