## Description

With an 11.52 kg aluminium frame, the WHLICKS A06 is designed to make transport and everyday transfers more manageable. Its folding design and quick-release rear wheels help simplify packing it into a vehicle or storing it at home. Swing-away footrests open up space beside the chair, making it easier to get in and out or pull up to a table.

## Technical overview
- Type: Manual transport wheelchair
- Frame material: Aluminium
- Item weight: 11.52 kg
- Colour: Black
- Rear wheel size: 56 cm
- Features: Swing-away footrests, anti-tipper, reflective strips and puncture-resistant tires

The large rear wheels have hand rims for self-propulsion, while push handles allow a caregiver to assist. The rear tires are flat-free, so they do not require inflation. Reflective strips on the rear wheels add visibility in low-light conditions, and the anti-tipper is a practical safety feature for everyday mobility.

## Everyday use
The folding frame and quick-release rear wheels are useful when a trip involves moving between the home, a vehicle and a destination. For example, the chair can be folded for transport to an appointment, then set up again for getting around once you arrive. At home, the swing-away footrests make it easier to approach a bed or table and create more room during transfers.

Buyers often appreciate the lightweight feel and the ease of folding the chair for car transport. Feedback on manoeuvrability is mixed: some describe it as easy to push, while others find turning less straightforward. This can be useful context when choosing between a transport-focused folding chair and a different wheelchair design for a particular routine.

## How to use it
Before use, make sure the lock is securely fastened. When seated, fasten the safety belt and sit with the hips close to the backrest. Engage the brakes whenever the chair is stopped, and make sure it is stable with the brakes on before getting in or out. Fold the footrests up for transfers, the user should hold the armrests and move slowly. Do not stand on the footrests. When turning or moving on a slope, slow down. For steps, the caregiver should use the recommended lifting method and avoid forcing the wheelchair up them.

## What to clarify
**Can the user propel the chair independently?** The large rear wheels are paired with hand rims for self-propulsion. Push handles are also provided for caregiver assistance.

**Do the rear tires need air?** The rear tires are described as flat-free and puncture-resistant, so they do not require inflation.

**What helps with transfers and visibility?** Swing-away footrests create more open space for getting in and out, while reflective strips on the rear wheels help improve visibility in low-light conditions.

## When it makes sense
The WHLICKS A06 is a practical fit for routines that combine assisted mobility with frequent loading, folding or storage. Its aluminium frame, quick-release rear wheels and foldable design support transport between home and everyday destinations, while the swing-away footrests make close access to beds and tables more convenient. Choose it for a mobility setup where portability and easier transfers are central to the day-to-day routine.
