Vibe bear MTTM-01 Japanese Futon Floor Mattress, Full Size, 3.2-Inch

A permanent bed setup works for a dedicated bedroom, while a floor mattress offers a flexible sleeping surface for a dorm or guest room. The Vibe bear MTTM-01 is a full-size Japanese futon designed for floor use. Its layered foam-and-fibre construction brings cushioning and support together. Use it as a sleeping space or as extra floor seating when the room calls for it.

Benefits

The nine-layer construction combines a microfiber cover, comfort foam, high-density support foam and polyester fibre fill. A medium-firm feel offers a balance of cushioning and support, while fixed-point quilting is designed to keep the fill evenly distributed across the mattress. Quilted edges add structure around the sides. Together, these details make the futon a practical choice for setting up a dedicated guest sleeping spot without adding a conventional bed frame.

At 54 x 80 inches and 3.2 inches thick, the full-size mattress gives sleepers a defined floor surface. Its plush-top microfiber cover provides a soft touch, and the grey colour scheme suits a range of room settings. For a dorm, spare room or bedroom, it can serve as the main floor mattress, in a shared space, it can also provide extra floor seating or a base for yoga and meditation. The foldable design is intended to make storage and travel more manageable when the mattress is not in use.

Quick overview

This Japanese futon mattress has a high-density foam support core with polyester fibre fill and a medium-firm feel. The cover is microfiber, the style is minimalist, and the mattress is double-sided for use on either face. It arrives vacuum-compressed, so allow 48–72 hours after opening for it to expand fully. Its full size and floor-based format suit shoppers who want a flexible sleeping surface, rather than a permanent bed arrangement.

Buyer feedback commonly highlights comfort, a balanced feel and useful support, with some people using the mattress for guests or smaller living spaces. Opinions differ on thickness and how easily it folds, so the most reliable choice is to focus on the stated dimensions and the intended floor-mattress setup.

Maintenance

After opening, give the futon 48–72 hours to expand, cooler conditions can extend recovery time. A sheet or mattress cover can help protect the microfiber surface during regular use. Since both sides are usable, flip or rotate the mattress every two to three months to help minimize body impressions over time. These simple steps support a consistent setup for a dorm, guest room or multipurpose space.
