## Description

Some entrances need light through the evening, others benefit from illumination that responds when someone approaches. The VIANIS V81605 outdoor wall lantern offers both approaches through selectable operating modes. Its adjustable sensing range helps tailor activation to the area around your doorway, porch or garage. A black, modern finish and seeded tempered glass bring a defined look to exterior walls.

## Size & fit
At 19.2 x 16 x 35.3 centimetres, this wall-mounted fixture is sized for an entryway, porch, garage, balcony, patio or walkway. Its vertical lantern shape suits a front door or passage where a wall light can provide a clear point of illumination. The aluminium frame has a powder-coated finish, while the shade is made from tempered seeded glass. The fixture is designed for outdoor use and is described as waterproof and weather resistant.

The light is hardwired for AC 110V, so it needs a suitable wall connection. It arrives assembled, and the open-bottom design makes changing the bulb straightforward. Mounting hardware and an instruction manual are included. The bulb is not included, so choose an E26 bulb separately, the manufacturer recommends a dimmable LED bulb rated 6–8W to help avoid flickering.

## Pros
Choose between four listed modes to suit the way the area is used: DIM keeps the light at 30% brightness when idle at night and brings it to full brightness when motion is detected, ECO keeps it off until movement triggers full brightness, D2D provides full brightness overnight and turns off at dawn, and ON provides continuous full brightness without motion sensing. In DIM and ECO, the TIME control adjusts how long the light stays on, while the SENS control lets you set the sensing distance. These settings help adapt the fixture to a front entrance, garage approach or walkway rather than relying on one motion response for every location.

The design pairs an anti-rust aluminium frame with seeded tempered glass, combining outdoor-ready materials with a modern black finish. Buyers have also highlighted the fixture’s operation and straightforward installation, alongside positive comments about its overall quality.

## Questions before you buy
**How does the motion sensor light operate?** Select DIM or ECO for motion-activated lighting at night, D2D for full brightness through the night until dawn, or ON for continuous light without sensing. The sensing distance is adjustable, and the TIME control changes the on-time in DIM and ECO modes.

**Which bulb should I use?** The fixture takes an E26-base bulb. A dimmable LED bulb rated 6–8W is recommended to help avoid flickering, the bulb is sold separately.

**Where can it be installed?** It is intended for outdoor wall mounting at locations such as a porch, front door, garage, balcony, patio or walkway. Its hardwired AC 110V connection requires a suitable wall connection.

## When it makes sense
A solid pick if you want an outdoor wall lantern that can switch between motion-activated, overnight and continuous lighting. Adjustable sensing distance and on-time settings make it useful for shaping how light behaves around an entrance or garage, while the black aluminium and seeded-glass design gives the fixture a distinctive place on the exterior wall.
