Tribit StormBox Micro 3 BTS36 Portable Bluetooth Speaker, 13W, IP68
Product description
Clip the Tribit StormBox Micro 3 to a bike handlebar or backpack for music on the move. Its strap and magnetic mounting options make it easy to place around a campsite or at home. Bluetooth 6.0 connects it to a phone, tablet or desktop, while the app lets you tailor the sound.
Size & fit
The two-in-one mounting design gives you a choice of placement: fasten the strap to a handlebar, backpack or tent pole, or attach the speaker to a stationary metal surface with its magnet. The strap is designed for poles around 30 mm in diameter. For moving use, choose the strap, magnetic mounting is intended for static metal surfaces, not vehicles or other dynamic situations. At 0.34 kg, the speaker is suited to taking along on travel and outdoor outings.
What stands out
A 13W output, 48 mm neodymium driver and two coaxial passive radiators form the audio setup. XBass adds a dedicated way to bring out lower frequencies, and the TRIBIT app offers seven presets and nine EQ bands for adjusting the sound to the setting. For a trail break, for example, strap the speaker to a pack and select an EQ preset that suits your music, at home, use the app to fine-tune the profile.
The IP68 water-resistance rating is useful for listening around rain, splashes and brief submersion. For longer listening sessions, the battery is rated for up to 24 hours at medium volume. Bluetooth has a stated range of up to 45 metres, giving you room to leave your phone nearby rather than right beside the speaker. A built-in microphone also supports hands-free calls.
The mounting options distinguish this speaker from a portable model designed mainly to sit on a table: the strap helps keep it in place on a bag or suitable pole, while the magnet offers a convenient stationary mounting choice. Buyers highlight the sound for the speaker’s compact size and appreciate the mounting features. Feedback on battery life and connectivity is mixed, so those points may vary with individual use and devices.
