## Description

A setting a thousand years before The City of Brass gives The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi a distinct place on the fantasy timeline, while offering readers a new series to begin. This hardcover is the first book in Amina al-Sirafi Adventures, making its place in the series clear from the outset.

Written by Shannon Chakraborty and published by Harper Voyager, the novel is presented as a fantasy series opener. Its connection to The City of Brass gives readers a specific point of interest when choosing their next fantasy read: an earlier setting within the timeline named in the title.

Would you rather start a series at its beginning? This is Book 1 of 2, so it offers a straightforward entry point for readers who want to follow Amina al-Sirafi Adventures in sequence.

## Practical tips

Choose this edition if you want the hardcover format for your reading shelf or regular at-home reading. Its listed dimensions are 15.24 x 3.78 x 22.86 cm, useful when checking how it will fit with the books you keep together. For a series-focused reading list, place it before the other Amina al-Sirafi Adventures book: this is the first instalment, and the story is set a thousand years before The City of Brass.

Compared with picking up a later series instalment, beginning with Book 1 gives you the opening point for this two-book sequence. Readers looking for a fantasy novel with a defined connection to The City of Brass may also find that earlier timeline a helpful way to choose what to read next.

## What you’ll notice day to day

The book’s format suits a settled reading routine, whether you keep it on a bedside table, bring it to a favourite reading spot, or add it to a fantasy shelf. Its dimensions provide a practical reference for arranging it alongside other books, while the hardcover format gives the edition a defined physical form for handling and shelving.

The clearest guide to its place among other reads is its series information: it begins Amina al-Sirafi Adventures, rather than serving as a later entry. The time setting is another useful distinction. The story is set a thousand years before The City of Brass, so the connection is chronological rather than a claim that this is a continuation set at the same point in that book’s timeline.
