## Description

A blue-backlit display makes this programmable timer easier to read and set, including in dim rooms. Set lights, fans, motors or sprinklers to switch on and off automatically at scheduled times. With two timer switches in the pack, you can plan routines for more than one location. Choose timed operation for a regular schedule, or manual control when you want to switch something on or off yourself.

## Tech summary
The TG timer offers 18 on/off settings for a weekly schedule, plus a random setting that varies switching times around your schedule while you’re away. Its built-in Ni-MH backup battery preserves programmed time settings during a power outage. The display has a blue backlight, and the switch can be used in AUTO or MANUAL mode, pressing and holding the cover changes between them. A decorator wall plate is included.

- Operation: ON/OFF
- Supply: 120 VAC, 60 Hz
- Load ratings: 15 A / 1,800 W resistive, 1,200 W tungsten, fan motor up to 1/2 HP
- Installation: Wall-mounted, single-pole, neutral wire required
- Material: Polycarbonate
- Listing: UL Listed

## Everyday compatibility
Use the timer for indoor lights in areas such as bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms, garages and closets, as well as ceiling fans and other motors. It can also schedule outdoor sprinklers, garden lights and porch lights. The timer gives you a set routine instead of relying on manual switching each day, while MANUAL mode keeps direct control available when plans change. For scheduled control of a light and a fan, for example, set the on/off times that fit your routine and use the display to check the programming.

For an installation, the key fit is the existing switch circuit: this is a single-pole timer that requires a neutral wire and is not intended for three-way use. Match the connected load to the stated ratings, including the separate rating for tungsten lighting and fan motors. These electrical requirements make it easier to decide whether the timer suits the intended wall location and device before installation.

## Practical tips
Use the weekly timer settings to establish recurring on/off times, then select MANUAL when you need immediate control. The random setting is useful when you want lights to turn on and off at varied times while travelling, it adds variation to the schedule rather than promising a particular security result. The blue backlight helps when setting the timer in a dark hallway or utility area, and the backup battery keeps the programmed time settings through a power outage. The included decorator wall plate gives the installation a finished look.

## Buying verdict
This two-pack suits households that want scheduled wall control for lights, fans or other compatible loads in more than one spot. Its 18 timer settings, random mode and manual control cover both predictable daily routines and times when you want to operate a switch directly. If the location has a neutral wire and a single-pole circuit, the TG timer provides a practical way to automate everyday switching without giving up manual operation.
